Donald Trump said Monday he is capable of turning on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in their competition for the GOPâs 2016 presidential nomination.
âIf he catches on, I guess weâll have to go to war,â he told host Joe Kernen on CNBCâs âSquawk Box.â âWeâll see what happens but so far we havenât,â Trump continued. "Heâs been very supportive [and] we have a lot of the same ideas.
âWell, heâs been very nice and supportive of everything Iâve said, more than anybody else.â

May the best man win.
It’s certain they’d have more than 8 million viewers for that debate....and I doubt that the Bernie & Hillary Show had that many last Sat. night. Everyone was watching the Paris attack coverage.
No. The focus should not be personal but ideological. The candidate worth electing cares more about the principles than about his own power grab. He would never harm the cause by trashing an ally just for personal gain. If he would, he is not worthy of the position of the people’s top representative.
I look forward on Cruz completely destroying Trump in a debate. Then again, we had a bunch of braindead sheep back in 2008 and 2012 chanting “Yes we can! Yes we can!” as well, so maybe debate performance and substance won’t matter.
Especially articles posted by a relative newb.

Right you are boss, right you are.
Only if you mean that in terms of the man with the best moral character. Even then you should say "May be best man with the best principles win." We are a nation of laws, not men. We are not crowning a king.
I dont think he will go personal on Ted with his own skeletons waiting.
But if they do not go at it ideologically, one of them does not want to win. they have to. Unless they come out now and say “We are a team and running together”. And I don’t see that happening as both want the big chair.
.
LOL!
I don’t think Trump is stupid enough to take on Cruz.
Cruz would wrap him up like the string in a baseball.
.
Trump will “go after” Cruz at his own peril. I’ve never seen anybody with Cruz’ ability to destroy an opponent’s attack or rhetoric. If Trump tries to attack Cruz on the basis of past positions or statements, he will be opening himself up to an avalanche of examples of his past democrat positions.
As long as it is ideological and not personal then I agree. I won’t love it, but...
Boy, the way they paint this stuff. I heard him, he said he likes Cruz then offhandedly said something to this effect. I like both and didn’t think anything of it.
The MSM trying to make trouble. Don’t fall for it.
With a smile. People, don't let the press turn us on each other. I don't believe Trump & Cruz will ever be anything but friends.
I don’t see how it’s remotely avoidable. And we will...WILL have to choose. ALL of us. Here or elsewhere. But we will have to choose.

No its a political race. If you want to win you have to beat back your rivals. Not too hard to understand. Well for most of us anyway. :-)

.
Precisely.
.
Trump will meet his Waterloo.
Trump/Cruz
Cruz/Trump
It's all good.
