I wish the best of luck to France in putting the hurt on ISIS.

But “French Military” doesn’t exactly inspire confidence as to effectiveness or numbers. Would that we had a substantial ally.

The “French Military” is one of the best in the world. Get your head out of the sand!

“But “French Military” doesn’t exactly inspire confidence as to effectiveness or numbers.”

They way overmatch ISIS. They made pretty short work of Al Queda in the Islamic Magreb (AQIM) when they drove them out of Timbuktu and Northern Mali, early in Hollande’s tenure, without American support. Their problem is more their political leaders and leftist public opinion, then their military capability.

Intent can change overnight, but capability is a long term investment - France has a large, sophisticated capability.

They can do a lot if they really want to.

I am beginning to think that the best scenario would be for the Iranians to overrun Saudi Arabia, and spend 6 -12 months killing every Wahhabi leader, and then have a coup overthrow the Ayatollah with a pro-western strongman, before they nuke up.
