The series of coordinated attacks that struck Paris Friday evening may represent a new era of expanded activity for the Islamic State. If the group's claims that it is responsible for the attacks are true, it would the first time the extremist group has carried out a major attack outside of the Middle East.
And, as such, the attack could spell the beginning of the end for the Islamic State, says William McCants, an expert on Islamic thought and jihadism.
According to McCants, who is a fellow at the Center for Middle East Policy and the author of the recent book "The ISIS Apocalypse," the attacks have galvanized support for a large-scale invasion of territory held by the Islamic State, especially in Syria. But even if that attack doesn't come soon, McCants said he is confident that, in the longer run, the Islamic State's government in Syria and Iraq will crumble.

The hostages were only released after Ronald Reagan took office, and that is what the terrorists were afraid of. Afraid that Ronald Reagan would take them and we know that he would have.
The fact is the terrorists knew who you were dealing with. They were not dealing with anyone who is really going to fight them. And that is exactly what the terrorists see in Europe and America right now, bunch of worthless leaders who will not do anything.
On the other hand, Israel has not really been messed with lately. At least not without retaliation. Netanyahu who knows how to deal with terrorists and that is why Israel is respected, though hated, among Muslim jihadists.
I hope it’s the beginning of the end of Americans paying attention to the drive-by media.
Building on Success is never the way to go. /mock
“exactly what the terrorists see in Europe and America right now”
Yep, 0bama is not only not going to fight them but he sympathizes with them and they know it.
Well, Europe will have to put on their big boy pants, amass an army, and take care of business without us.
At least until we get a real president.
And I wish i would never see the word terrorist again. Terrorism is a tactic of war. that’s it.
Like I said before, it’s as silly as saying the war on tanks or the war on combined aerial and land assaults.
The war is between the west and the Middle East.
No more hiding for Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc.
If you are found transporting muslims to fight (Turkey) or supporting the fight (Qatar, Saudi Arabia) your country should burn.
Why the Paris attacks could mark the beginning of the end for ISIS's American Allies, the DemocRat Party.
or it could mark the beginning of the beginning.
Who is sending ground troops to fight ISIS?
Nobody or maybe Putin but I doubt it they fight back
ISIS is not the proverbial Japanese trapped on Iwo. ISIS is everywhere there is a mosque, in every sharia no go zone and in a lot of places where there aren’t any of either...yet.
Could but won’t. European people are too pussyfied.
Its not ISIS, ISIL, Al Quaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram, or any other name.
Its islam. Period.
Can it end the blm BS while we’re at it? Purdy tired of these ungrateful little snots.
ISIS is Islam. They are following the example of their prophet and his instructions in their book.
Islam has been at war with everyone else since 622 A.D.
According to their book it must remain so until we are all dead or converted.
Or until there is no Islam.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for ISIS to be over with.
This administration gives new depth to the term "half measures."
These are some of the measures being considered:
— cut off access to PBS
— import levies on goat cheese
— no Miss ISIS at Miss Universe pageant
— kicked out of FIFA
I bet he thinks Donald Trump has already dropped out of the GOP nomination process.
