Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio are far behind in their own home state
Washington Post ^ | 11/13/15 | Ed O'Keefe and Sean Sullivan

There's fresh evidence here of the unthinkable: Florida's biggest Republican stars, former governor Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio, run the risk of losing their state's winner-take-all primary next year to an out-of-state contender.

A loss in their home state could force both Bush and Rubio out of the presidential race after March 15, when Florida and three other states will hold the first winner-take-all primaries.

Rubio already is on record for saying that representing the people of Florida is a bother. Bush’s gubernatorial record is unknown to me except that he was punked by a district judge and any of his accomplishments are antiquated now.

Lack of support in their home state sort of speaks for itself I suppose.

Eleven of the state’s 17 Republican congressmen support Bush, as do three statewide officeholders. All but two recent Republican speakers of the Florida House of Representatives support Bush.

Well that is depressing.

I should hope Bush is in trouble in our state.

The only Bush I’ve ever liked is Laura. I think she’s a woman with grace and charm, and I like that she tries to stay in the background.

Not really. The supporters of Bush are Establishment and are on our lists to be primaried. The ones who count do NOT support Bush! Florida’s Republican voters do NOT support Bush either as he and Rubio are far behind Trump in the polls..

Even Mondale won his own state.

Okay, Reagan won all the rest of them, but Mondale won his own state.

Rubio is definitely using Mitten’s playbook.

It will be interesting to see what these two flesh out, on each other.

Seems like the citizens of Florida aren’t in favor of abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country to illegal aliens and their employers.

Yeb! and Young Yeb! are traitors to the citizens and it shows in their poll numbers.

I'm in Florida and no one I know is planning to vote for Jeb or Rubio. We're all talking Trump and Cruz.

Hey, Jeb, we remember Terri Schiavo. That was not your finest hour. And frankly, being Governor of Florida doesn't mean much in terms of "experience". It's nothing compared to Donald Trump's real world experience in building businesses and creating opportunities.

Jeb = Low Energy...Low Results...No Future...Failure.

The reason Eisenhower deported illegals was because he felt the men who had defeated the Nazis and won World War II had the right to come home and have a job.

His ‘compassion’ was for Americans.

Rubio and Bush have compassion for the cheap labor illegals offer their rich donors... Bush and Rubio don’t give a damn about Americans... and those of us who live Florida see the results of their twisted ‘compassion’ ... Neither Bush nor Rubio have a chance in Florida.

The elites support Bush - they’ve got lots of money - but add up their votes and they couldn’t elect a dog catchers.

"MinuteGal, FR's Poet Laureate".

Thank you very much.

Sometimes I refer to myself as "FR's Poet Laureate-ette" just to annoy any militant feminists who might be trolling this forum, lol.
