A painful exchange with a young student who's organizing for free public colleges, cancellation of all student debt and $15/hour minimum wage for all campus employees. She doesn't really know how to pay for it, unfortunately.

Idiots being trained by idiots... nothing new here. A large majority of colleges in this country are nothing but boarding homes.
She was no more embarrassed than is an iPod that is streaming Torn Between Two Lovers.

I agree, she is too ignorant to know that she is overwhelmed, incorrect and has no logic or facts on her side. Most dangerous. Mao’s Cultural Revolution coming to the States.
Time to re-read Life and Death in Shanghai
Oh my god... if idiots like this are our future, our country is doomed!!!!
Well, at least she didn’t say the money would come from “obama’s stash”.
So, it is easy to beat up on this kid who has no idea how to pay for her big ideas. But, I know where she learned what she has learned.
Cavuto rocks. He’s under appreciated by too many conservatives.
Other than the fact that the states have never done so, there is conceptually nothing wrong with the idea of the states delegating to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax the rich to pay for college for everyone who is eligible. This is evidenced by the following suggestion by Thomas Jefferson for the rich to provide such funding.
The great mass of the articles on which impost is paid is foreign luxuries, purchased by those only who are rich enough to afford themselves the use of them. Their patriotism would certainly prefer its continuance and application to the great purposes of the public education, roads, rivers, canals, and such other objects of public improvement as it may be thought proper to add to the constitutional enumeration of federal powers [emphasis added]. Thomas Jefferson: 6th Annual Message, 1806.
The rich alone use imported articles, and on these alone the whole taxes of the General Government are levied [emphasis added]. . . . Our revenues liberated by the discharge of the public debt, and its surplus applied to canals, roads, schools, etc., the farmer will see his government supported, his children educated, and the face of his country made a paradise by the contributions of the rich alone, without his being called on to spend a cent from his earnings [emphasis added]. Thomas Jefferson to Thaddeus Kosciusko, 1811.
The problem with Jeffersons idea concerning free federal government anything as evidenced by todays unconstitutionally big federal government is the following. Federal government social spending in this post 17th-Amendment ratification era leads to unaccountable federal spending, free education funding a target for corrupt college and federal leaders in this example.
Whatever. I never really liked the guy.
Cavuto never says ‘Thank-you Eric for coming’....
...he says ‘we’ll have more after this’....
....and I kept waiting for ....more.
I know everyone else is talking about the insipid college student, but I’m still hung up over how Eric was treated.
Eric is a credit to his father.
Maybe, because you’re ignorant?
(Who doesn’t like John Wayne???)
Thank-you.
I am such a John Wayne fan.
Cavuto is a very nice man, obviously. He didn’t want to shoot a pigeon with an Uzi. I respect him for that. He was fatherly with her, in fact. I’m sure she didn’t learn anything from him, unfortunately.
Someone should ask the liberal the following:
‘What is more important. You not going to college so global warming can be paid for, or you going to college and we do more research before determining whether global warming is actually real?
I laughed, I cried. Now I m depressed. I m going to go back to laughing.
You are most welcome! John Wayne was a great artist and a great, great American. I disdain anyone - much less a freeper - who doesn’t understand either his standing in American culture or history.
I’ve been battling this for over 10 years here.
consider this a “like”.
That was painful to watch. My father would have had a conniption if I’d gone on television and displayed such abject ignorance.
And employers will eventually use new criteria to hire.
I thought his acting was stilted, and cliche’d.
It’s not that I haven’t seen them...but there was a reason he won an Oscar very, very late in his career.
