ITHACA, NY -- Hundreds of Ithaca College students and supporters gathered at the center of campus Wednesday to demand the resignation of college president Tom Rochon and an overhaul of the structures at the campus that they said make students of color feel unsafe and excluded.

The protest, which began around 1:30 p.m. and attracted at least 750 people, was in response to what organizers said were a series of incidents that demonstrated cultural insensitivity and exclusion of certain groups.

Yep. All of this cr@p is orchestrated. There is no doubt in my military mind!

The vast majority of college-age kids I know are lazy and won’t do anything for free, LOL!

It’s the same with the $15 an hour Fast Food Strikers that we witnessed earlier this week, organized AND PAID FOR by the SEIU or the La Raza, ‘Bring Out the Illegals for the Day’ parades we have in Milwaukeestan from time to time. All of the past protests against our Governor, Scott Walker, were also paid for and arranged by union goons.

People rarely, if ever, just spontaneously gather in large numbers to protest...

Unless you’re in Benghazi and you’ve seen a VIDEO that upset you, so you pull out your Pocket Rocket Launcher and git bizzy! *SMIRK*

Who is working behind the scenes on these various and sundry ‘demonstrations,’ I wonder? How many more are already in the chute?

Soros' money is my bet.

I’m surprised these students aren’t suing their parents for sending them to this school.

Colleges are destroying themselves. This is actually good news because it will become so obvious that colleges are liberal insane asylums that lost any useful purpose decades ago that parents will start being smarter about where they send their kids, and donors will stop donating.

For an opinionated blowhard, that is outstanding.

This could devolve into a nasty revolution with, hopefully, an eventual restoration of the proper role of higher education. Right now, higher ed deserves the troubles it has brought upon itself. And I can imagine the GOPe surrendering to these Marxists. We need leadership in this nation with a backbone.

Expect it to peak in November 2016. And to become another "Gore 2000" series of protests if the election is in any way "close".

When do you think the kids going to these schools of “higher” education, and looking to get a “higher” education, will have had enough of this bullshit? Reminds me, somewhat, of the 60’s during the Viet Nam protests.

I have no pity for the University administrations that are forced to resign under pressure.

They created this monster that is eating them.

When they allowed all sorts of self define groups to form but then kicked to the curb any conservative or religious group they showed they picked sides in the cultural war.

We are seeing our own Cultural Revolution to match what Communist China experienced in the 1960s.

All the claims otherwise this movement is nothing more that ethic cleansing of white people. Our cultural, our beliefs, our religion, our work, our family and in the end our freedom and our life.

How has a group of minority got to the point that they can tell everyone else what is and what is not permitted to say or do?

One hint is that the media choose sides years ago and will not report honestly on what is going on.

Another, both political parties seem to be working towards the same goal. What is going on today helps them achieve that goal by keeping middle America off balance.

We are living in a very strange time when it seems all the institutions we once believed were on “our side” have chosen to cleanse us from the earth.

Me neither, in fact I relish seeing what goes around come around.

One of the main organizers of the Mizzoo nonsense has been to the White House several times.

MNJohnnie made a post the other day that is worth reading. Summary: All this stuff is planned to rile up the base for the 2016 elections.

Those parents you describe probably started out with “Here, Johnny, watch this TV show, and get out of my hair.”

This is particularly ironic: a forum Oct. 27 held by the Ithaca College administration called "Addressing Community Action on Racism and Cultural Bias." The aim of the forum was for the president and college officials to come up with actions to take to improve the racial tension on campus. Organizers said they were frustrated that most, if not all, of the officials in attendance were white men.

In other words... only the white people cared enough to show up.

This is roughly analagous to how urban rioters never really succeed in anything but destroying their own neighborhoods.

The tuition/student loan bubble is overdue for popping. If this persists and spreads it will happen pretty quickly.

I agree 100%. Kids today lack all critical thinking skills necessary to conduct an operation like this. The amount of hand holding and coddling they require does not lead to this type of exercise unless there is something in it for them. Without the freebies they lack all incentive. It is so bad on college campuses with these kids that they cannot even answer essay questions without a guideline of what to include.

As much as I appreciate the self-implosion of liberal college campi, the long term problem of all this PC on steroids is that it is from the universities that all our future “professionals” come from. This won’t stop with just social studies classes - these radical Marxist politicos will turn to not only controlling acceptable speech, but also acceptable science and science “outcomes”.

We bemoan the destruction of what was once a respectable public school system (pre-1965) that was the envy of the world at educating and eradicating illiteracy. The primary reason for its demise was the state education departments demanding all teachers to have an “education” degree. All the young skulls full of mush wanting to be teachers have been “educated” by radical agenda of the 60’s ideas that slowly but surely turned out school system into a social experiment for progressivism.
