//My relationship with Jesus won’t be judged by an anonymous poster on a political forum./

But your comments and behavior on said forum speaks volumes on your (if you have one) relationship with Jesus. And from that it is a reasonable conclusion that many such as yourself tend to casual Christianity, putting politics and this life first over spiritual warfare.

Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and conservative human saviors or will you finally come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE.

The LORD doesn't run for President HIS-self, he sends his minions: T.Cruz and D.Trump, to carry out his will for HIM.
By Accepting the LORD you may be privileged enough to be allowed see some of HIS works, No?
They are subtle, often only discernible to us mere mortals after the event.
Or have i totally misunderstood your drift?

Fortunately you aren't the one that will judge my relationship. I don't come to FR to attend church or get spiritual guidance. It's a political activist site.

You have a lovely evening.

Personally, I don’t think He will want to turn our situation around.

He’s given us the Gold Medal in every race worth running and look at what we’ve done!

Cruz is my #1 also at this point, but realistically speaking, I won’t bank on that.

American conservatives of today are no different from the Pharisees of Jesus day. These were conservative, moral, go to "church" to put it in our day language...

And you're SO wrong with those statements it's laughable.
The Pharisees were the Progressives of their day, not Conservatives.
I can give examples of you like.

The poster of the original article doesn't seem to be nearly as upset (as far as I can tell from his website) about atheists or agnostics as he is about other Christians who don't adopt his detailed reading of the Bible right down to the last punctuation mark.

He's probably spent so much of his life trying to kick other Christians out of the tent that all ten of his toes have been broken quite beyond recognition.

No you are right, I did not read them all. But when ten out of ten are screeds against some other Christian pastor who is a “heretic”, I don’t have a problem with extrapolation.

//And I find the suppositions of anonymous posters to be offensive. //

OH the irony. This comes from an anonymous poster making suppositions themselves.

And that is key to what I am seeing here. Last election there was a lot of faith in men, not God.

You are doing the exact same thing. Don’t throw stones.

How very sad. People like you do more harm than good. Nominal Christians who have more faith in politics. That statement is based just upon your comments on this thread.

//FR is basically a political forum.
I think you’re out of line.//

BTW, FR is a faith based political forum. Faith and politics are not mutually exclusive. You are out of line.

Very strange..

Someone seems to be the self appointed arbiter of the spiritual condition of the hearts of everyone on Free Republic.

I offer as proof the title of the link to the referenced blogpost: free-republic-conservative-christless

Since this seems to be the opinion of a man with the initials DJP, possibly one David Parsons as gleaned from internal links in the blogpost - and one who is claiming extra-Biblical revelation* - it is my personal opinion that this author thinks more highly of himself than he ought...

I note that the author of the linked blogpost presumptuously aggregates all “American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message” as a group that is dead and ice cold*.

Last I checked Holy Writ, it was God who could see the thoughts and intents of the heart, not a blogposter from Connecticut..

Just sayin’

*”The temperature and pulse of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is near dead and ice cold. That is a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me these last five years..”

He’s calls FR Conservatives “Christless” and some cheer him on. Sad.

Again, you know nothing of the people that you’ve painted with a broad brush but you’re certain they don’t measure up to your expectations. The Good News is that your opinion isn’t the one that matters.

Right back at you once again. This is getting fun.

It can be both and from your comments you should be worried about Him who will judge you eternally. BTW, As a Christian it is my duty to judge those who claim to be Christians. Would you like Bible verses for that?
