Dale Brigham, a nutrition professor at the University of Missouri, implored his students not to cave in to “bullies†when he said an exam scheduled for today would proceed.
He was apparently talking about the fear among black students owing to threats posted on Yik Yak yesterday.
Brigham’s alleged indifference to his students’ fears led them to savage him on social media, some in incredibly crude terms, and now Brigham has resigned, he confirmed to local station KOMU:
“I am just trying to do what I think is best for our students and the university as an institution,†Brigham said to KOMU 8 News. “If my leaders think that my leaving would help, I am all for it. I made a mistake, and I do not want to cause further harm.â€
Just to be clear, Mizzou did not cancel classes campuswide – professors made that call for their own classes.
I would do the opposite.
I would set up a Student Soviet to elect a central committee.
Make the Chancellor merely the administrator of the central committee.
Let these social justice warriors set up the Utopia they know they are capable of . . . and we can watch.

Dale E. Brigham is an Aggie. He has a B.S. in Biology from Texas A & M (1977) (summa cum laude), an M.S. in Nutrition from Texas Tech University (1985), and a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from Penn State University (1995).
His CV is 14 pages long. It looks like he does serious scientific research in issues involving diet and nutrition.

It's morphing into a nation-wide "movement" now... hashtag #BlacksOnCampus. The Ferguson/Baltimore movements sort of fizzled out, so I guess the community organizers in some of Obama's groups are at it again with a new approach.
Get some popcorn and watch the liberal university admins and staff deal with this one.

Hardly. Well trained nutritionists have important functions in a very large number of different kinds of institutions, including hospitals and many medical practices.

More likely his tendered resignation was a clever ploy to force the hand of the spineless school administration to either totally cave or back his actions up as being acceptable.

I wonder what the application number will be for incoming freshmen. I wouldn’t let mine apply there if they wanted to. They would never get one dime of tuition from me. They can’t get a grip on these thugs and apparently are scared to death of them. I truly hope not one white person shows up at their football game.

Isn’t it amazing how clearly he saw the problem so many years ago? I love this.
Once again we can thank Hollywood for most of this. Their movies like Selma and others have dredged up all the horrible stuff from the sixties and has made a whole new generation of blacks hate whites and has brought back all the old pain (which was pretty horrible). We have healed as a nation from those times and things were moving along nicely in race relations until Hussein was elected. The blacks continue to carry the hate towards the whites. I think, when they watch these movies, they want to pretend like they are the new heroes of our time and want to repeat history in 2015 but they have to make up incidents as opposed to fighting against the real thing that was happening in the 60s.. There is a lot of hate out there amongst the young blacks who are given everything—more than any white kid ever dreamed of getting, but it’s never enough.
