Trump: Christie could have ‘a place’ on my ticket - NASA was great
The Hill ^ | November 11, 2015 | Mark Hensch

Donald Trump said Wednesday that would have room for Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) in his presidential administration.

"[He is] a very good guy," Trump said when asked about the fellow presidential candidate, according to NBC News.

"There could certainly be a place for him," he added when a questioner floated Christie as Trump's potential running mate in 2016.

Trump was appearing in Manchester, N.H. for one of the Granite State's Politics & Eggs events. NBC News said Wednesday that the business mogul addressed a wide range of policy issues.

Among the topics he discussed were education, immigration and even the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA).

"Nothing [is] more important than higher education and education in general," Trump said. "It's so important to our economy.

"It's great," he said of NASA. "You know, in the old days, it was great.

"Right now we have bigger problems," the real estate tycoon added. "We've got to fix our potholes."

Christie and Trump both spent Tuesday night in Milwaukee for the fourth GOP presidential debate.

The two men were separated into different portions of the contest, however. Christie appeared in the undercard event because he did not meet Fox Business Network's minimum polling threshold for the main stage.

The New Jersey governor made the most of his spot by fiercely criticizing Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

"I saw the most disgraceful thing of the campaign a few weeks ago," Christie said. "Hillary Clinton was asked the enemy she was most proud of and she said, 'Republicans.'

"In the world where we have al Qaeda and ISIS [Islamic State in Iraq and Syria], the mullahs in Iran and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, the woman who asks to run and represent all of the United States says her greatest enemies are people like you in this audience and us here," he added, citing Clinton's remarks during the first Democratic presidential debate on Oct. 13 in Las Vegas.

Trump, meanwhile, took center stage during the Republican contest's main card in Milwaukee. He earned approximately 24 percent of the event's Twitter traffic, edging out the seven other competitors on stage.

Georgia Girl 2 to Cincinatus’ Wife:

Just promise me you will continue trashing Trump. He’s so close to wrapping up the nomination my worst nightmare is you will jump in and ruin it for him. :-)

I remember CW in 2012 spending as much energy and time trashing Gingrich as she now expends on her Jihad against Trump.

Then as some point she jumped on the Gingrich bandwagon and it wasn’t long after that that Gingrich imploded in Florida.

So yeah, this time around, please, CW, stay true to your trash and keep trashing Trump.

We can fill pot holes and have a space program.

But Trump wants to appeal to the unions at the expense of our national security and technical innovation - a sector that has kept us safe, and has spurred great prosperity and medical breakthroughs.

You really think this is about “putting another man on a dead planet?”

{:Trump is the most Liberal candidate in the race with the possible exception of Kasich.”}

Although not my preferred candidate, I have said I would vote for Trump. If he has Christie as VP that would change. It would say Trump is not serious about Conservative interests.

Right. That’s why he’s proposed the things that we CONSERVATIVES have been clamoring for, in a candidate, for years.

Illegal immigration and care of our vets wouldn’t even be discussed, this election cycle, if not for Trump.

So, you just keep pimping that meme ;-)

I don’t think Trump would consider Krispy as VP.

Cruz, possibly. I’ve wondered if he would have Snarly somewhere in the mix.

Rubio, Paul and KaSick...no way :)

They’re all vying for some position in a Trump presidency, that’s for sure.

The government does not need to be putting anybody into space. Until they come up with a propulsion system that is superior to duct taping an M80 onto a tin can space exploration is not feasible anyway.

I know this will come as a shock to you but private industry is innovative not government. We should be encouraging them to bring forward new space technology for profit.

Right now NASA is almost exclusively working on the drone program. Not my favorite endeavor.

I love the way you try to work the unions in. Somewhere Mitt Walker salutes you. LOL!

LOL! I still owe her a beach slap for killing Newt’s chances. He was my guy. Everynight my last prayer is please dear God don’t let CW start liking Trump. :-)

“Donald Trump said Wednesday that would have room for Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) in his presidential administration.”

Would have room? Or would have to MAKE room? Christie’s a big guy. They may have to knock down a wall or two to accommodate him.

All you need to understand is the pecking order of the "east coast" and New Jersey voters.

Trump says MANY thing for effect. This was one of them and puts many an east coast Christie supporter on Trump's porch.

We need to get you one of those Star Trek universal translators. I did not interpret what Don Don said that way.

That said, if mooslime outreach is still any part of NASA’s mission....defund it and let the private sector take us to deep space and beyond.

“Nah, Trump needs Scott Walker on his ticket.”

Walker would be a good pick for several of the leaders. Cruz, Rubio, Trump, etc.

Advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
