The Republican rift over immigration produced an early clash in Tuesday night's debate. It may also have produced something we haven't seen yet: A strong performance by Jeb Bush.
Early on, Donald Trump got a question about immigration and gave his usual response: He'd build a wall, then work on deporting undocumented people already here.
Then things got interesting. Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Trump's plan was wildly unrealistic, because deporting the 11.3 undocumented immigrants was simply not possible. Bush, the former Florida governor, joined the assault, saying that Trump's argument was not merely bad policy. It was also, Bush said, bad politics.
"It would send a signal that we're not the kind of country that I know America is," Bush said. "Even having this conversation sends a powerful signal. They're doing high-fives in the Clinton campaign right now when they hear this. That's the problem with this."
Bush went on to say that Trump's rhetoric is sure to alienate Latino voters, whose support Republicans need to win national elections.

No he doesn't. If Trump can get the majority of White voters (60%+), he doesn't need latino or black votes.
By attacking the illegals, Trump could easily get 70% of the white vote.
The Huffington Post would obviously support Jeb’s pro-illegal alien stance.
I know a buch of LEGAL mexican construction workers, and they love Trump, and want him to send all the illegals back because they are stealing jobs and deflating paychecks.
No American wants his amnesty policy.
That is why he is polling at 3%.

Has anyone asked Jeb Bush, La Raza or other border-melting dopes when Mexico is going to cede their nation back to the Aztecs?
That was one of the dumbest, tone-deaf, incoherent responses I have ever heard in a debate. My BS meter was solid clipping in at the top in the red. He was essentially saying that "Hillary understands the voters and public policy better than we do so we have to do this the Democrat Socialist way, otherwise we're signaling that we don't understand the politics and policy as well as Hillary does and we will lose votes."
HuffPo gives props to Bush on law breaking.
I think Bush’s goose is now cooked.
Big alarm bells when the Huffington Post is happy.
It was a great moment. It marked the unofficial end of his campaign.
We need him on life support for a while, though, before all of the GOPe money goes to Rubio.
