Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told reporters following his meeting Monday with President Barack Obama that the meeting had been one of the better ones the two have had.
"The conversation took place in a pleasant atmosphere, I would say constructive and businesslike," he said in a briefing following the meeting in Washington. "What was seen on the outside, was evident inside as well. [It was ] one of the best meetings I have had with Obama and I think the other side felt the same way."
The prime minister said that "the conversation was very relaxed, and honest. No one hides the differences between us, and now the question is what to do with them. We have a common interest in preventing Iran from violating the agreement that was signed with it, and we will cooperate on this issue."
"I did not feel any pent-up tension which is sometimes felt. The tone and essence of the conversation was very productive as well. There were no arguments and confrontations," continued Netanyahu.
He revealed that the central theme of the conversation was a memorandum of understanding regarding the increase of American military aid to Israel. "We did not focus on an amount, but I presented our needs, and we hope he accepts our analysis of the regional changes. The region has turned upside down compared to the previous decade, the previous agreement was signed in 2007 and it is impossible to compare the Middle East now to what it was then."

BO.....always the stinkin' antagonist
If they were nice, they weren’t being sincere. But surely Netanyahu knows this.
Hope Bibi isn’t letting his guard down. Don’t trust the traitor in the WH.
“Hi Barry!
Hey our new deal with Vlad means I am not going to be putting up with your sXit today. So unless you want my relationship with Russia improving daily, here’s the way it’s gonna be...”
“This was one of more pleasant sessions I’ve had with Obama. I should have thought of this idea of sending my look-alike cousin Myron some time ago.”
Once Obama is no longer in office, we will get the REAL STORY regarding what Bibi thinks of him.
...but right now, he’s forced to SUCK UP if he wants military aid and technology (what little we have to offer these days).
Obama has nothing else to be crass about with Bibi. The damage is done. ISIS bypassed both Israel and Egypt on its way to Syria.
BO was clearly stoned, probably.
Obama knows he’s guaranteed Israel’s destruction with the Iran deal. Playing nice now is just a form of mockery.
That's like saying "it's one of the best colonoscopy's I've had."
I repeat a post I made earlier today.
“When Rush Limbaugh discussed how Senator Bob Corker and the Republicans enabled the Iran nuclear deal to go through with the Corker Bill changing the threshold for scuttling the agreement from 1/3 to 2/3 of the Senate, it changed my perspective on what we have seen publicly in recent years.
Rush pointed out it was done to help big corporations like Boeing do business with Iran through sanctions lifting.
For me, I cannot believe Bibi Netanyahu was blindsided by what was going on in Washington. He knew Obama and the Republicans were forcing the deal through and his speechmaking against it was nothing more than a pretense, a sham, a charade.
The image of a conflict between Obama and Bibi was created for conservative consumption. Conservative supporters of Israel here in the US and conservative Israelis.
Boeing and other companies like Airbus can now do business with Iran and Boeing even did business with Israel on 14 airliners for El Al.
Israel’s defense industry and its American partners in the ‘military industrial complex’ will also benefit from the Iran deal because as Iran ramps up its nuclear weapons capability, the defense industry will have to ramp up missile defense systems for Israel, the Saudis, Gulf Arabs and so on to counter Iran’s eventual development of nuclear capable ballistic missiles.”
The Russian involvement has made Obama act a bit more human and appropriate.
Good comparison.
These people -- Obama, Netanyahu, and every last one of them -- are all full of sh!t.
Instead it started with Obama saying, "Mr. Netanyahu, Jew, leave the Palestinians alone. Got that, yid?"
A real step up, huh?
PM Netanyahu has weighed the issue, upon the socialist fascist’s skinny shoulders. No rerun, no return.
The defense industry of Israel partners with the US defense industry.
Heck, an American defense company is now planning to sell Iron Dome, the Israeli anti-missile system used to stop incoming rockets from Gaza, to the Gulf Arabs.
Missile defense cooperation between the US and Israel has been going full bore with Obama in WH and it is missile defense Netanyahu or any future Israeli leader will sell as the answer to Iran’s emerging nuclear capability.
And the defense contractors like Boeing that get to do business in Iran because of Bob Corker and the GOP enabling the Iran deal have probably lined a lot of pockets from Obama’s to Netanyahu’s to enable Iran to get nukes.
One other thing, Glenn Beck made an offhand comment some months back about ‘supporting Israel’ but not supporting the ‘people who support Israel’.
Don’t know what he meant, but here’s my theory.
AIPAC is part of the cabal that stirred the pot in Syria IMHO as part of an alternate strategy since everyone knew the Iran nuke deal was a shoo in. The Gulf Arabs, Israel Lobby, Neocons, the EU and US wanted to take out Iran’s ally Assad in Syria and Iran’s ability to use Syria as a base against Israel.
As a result, we have ISIS and its atrocities against Christians and others in Syria, things that upset Beck and many of us greatly.
My first thought as well.
