The movement from inspirational speaker to president of the United States is a difficult one. Ben Carson found this out the hard way when a higher level of scrutiny was applied to his biography last week. But there are plenty of reasons beyond the admissions office of West Point as to why Carson should never have even attempted it, and why evangelicals should cease to back him.

The case of German Jews and guns is almost irrelevant, except as an object lesson. A minuscule percentage of the Jews killed in the Holocaust were German or killed in Germany. The overwhelming number of Jews killed were in Poland and the Soviet Union.

So why did he put it in his book: “A More Perfect Union”?
This was his remarks about why he is against the second amendment and whether or not anyone thinks it ‘minuscule’ say that to a member of the NRA, like myself, and see where your support goes.....

LOL...no I’m just letting people know about the man that the GOPe thinks is their ‘golden haired poster child’ to bring down Trump so Hillary will be the next POTUS...that is the only reason why Carson is in there.....

I know that and you know that, but some of the people here do not realize that...or else they want to deny this reality because they are, for some reason, captivated by sleepy-eyes Carson.

We already know more about Ben Carson’s past than we do Obama’s.
To: Ruy Dias de Bivar
That may be true, but look what happened when we did not get the truth about Obama. It will take years if it is even possible to undo the damage he has done.
Let’s be patient and vet all the candidates. Nobody should get a free pass.

Very good article with many good points, such as....Carson has nothing to offer the political process or the presidency, but to loan it his personal virtues.
That sums it up Carson quite well. He is a remarkable man, but not the man to be president at this time in history.
Another very succinct and insightful quote is To be more explicit: Evangelicals will not win by looking for an anointed man of God and giving him license to whip the rest of the Republican Party and country into shape
At some time God may send an individual described above, but Christians have to look at more than a person's spirituality when voting.
Thanks to Trump we are more aware of what it takes to be a effective president. That new found awareness is why so many candidates aren't polling well.
We all want a society with more goodness, prosoperity spread evenly among all citizens and less evil. For that we need a revival that changes the hearts and minds of the governing and the governed.

So you’re an anti-semite who thinks the Jews shouldn’t have gone down fighting, taking as many stinking Nazis as they could with them?

Here's a new Carson (I swear I'm telling the truth) tidbit.
He only applied to one college because he only had $10 and every college had a $10 application fee.

That isn't what I said...Carson said it....
I said if he thinks by making that statement in his book: “A More Perfect Union” to make his point he wants to do away with the Second Amendment, he isn't going to get my vote or any one else’s that support the second Amendment....
Don't put words in my mouth...read what people say...don't be like the media and try and make your own story up...
