The Concerned Faculty group at the University of Missouri is to begin a two-day walkout today in support of student activists who say the school has done too little to address their concerns about racism and racial intolerance on campus.
"We, the concerned faculty of the University of Missouri, stand in solidarity with the Mizzou student activists who are advocating for racial justice on our campus and urge all MU faculty to demonstrate their support by walking out on Monday.....

All the students who walk out that are there on scholarship should be sent packing and lose their scholarship. Fire the faculty members who walk out. Begin anew!
With a record of 1 - 5 in the SEC this is not a good time to be demanding anything. The revenue from the NCAA for TV is way down.
The coach has joined them. Better hope the NFL needs someone to deal with the probation officers.
Maybe a real job in a steel mill for a few years would straighten out these wannabe thugs.
Once again the taxpayers get screwed, but in the end, who gives a damn. They are just taxpayers. Plenty more where they came from. More taxpayers and more money. A sane Nation or a sane state would kick everyone participating in this farce off the campus and go about the process of education.

About ten years ago the basketball side of the athletic department got all screwed up with the President having paroled athletes over to his house and all sorts of nonsense.
The AD is a powerful position at MU. Pinkel has gotten past a lot of crap.
In the middle of the state Columbia, Missouri does have a muslim group, but the rest of I - 70 is a great place to live.
Terminate the football program and terminate the contracts with the losers that walked out. Right.

why are the blacks pissed ? shouldn’t the jews or the skinheads on the team be pissed ?
It’s 8% black....and let’s see now..this overwhelmingly white school is somehow racist because it elected a BLACK student gov’t president?
Mark my words, this is a cancer that is intended to spread to other universities with people acting in solidarity with it, and you know who's going to jump out in front of it. This week, I won't be surprised if we see the same thing at other schools in the SEC and near UM with people demonstrating solidarity with it, or one might say metastasizing. (Yes, one might say close to home.)
Next week, who knows how far it goes.
If so, just fire the scholarship guys and open the teams up to other students who want to play ball. Plan B, just shut it all down and throw a big tailgate party at game time instead, with security.

Many or most of the public universities are this way. They are unionized and administration’s hands are tied. They are much like the public schools, but worse. There was no pressure to do research or publish, it was a joke.
I absolutely loved teaching at the university and did it for many years. It was more fun than work.

Sounds right to me. When the faculty returns, there should be pink slips waiting for them. Which, of course, we all know will NOT happen. Tenure and all+fighting for civil rights. Even if they’re wrong. Students, expelled or at least kicked off the football team. Sorry assclowns, now you’re free agents and can pursue your NFL careers which is, in most cases, they only reason you’re there. Four year try-outs for the big time.

Considering the fact that colleges would be happy to recruit from the prisons for their sports "scholarships" rather than be restricted to the pool of thugs who have not yet been locked up for a lengthy sentence! "Role Model" is not even a footnote attribute on the vast majority of such recruits resumes!

Right, it made it sound as if the entire faculty were walking out. I hate the mainstream media.
