Sports teams are supposed to provide strong guidance for acceptable behavior, for heaven's sake.

Almost lost my keyboard to coffee on this one!!! Considering the fact that colleges would be happy to recruit from the prisons for their sports "scholarships" rather than be restricted to the pool of thugs who have not yet been locked up for a lengthy sentence! "Role Model" is not even a footnote attribute on the vast majority of such recruits resumes!

that may be true for a few of the big name universities, but the hundreds of other schools playing FB, whose players seldom go professional, many are role models.
