Gun porn is described as photos of guns that display them in the same carefully posed and lighted manner as the models in traditional pornography.

Are you freaking serious? This is journalism?

Are these anti-Second Amendment nutjobs serious? There is no such thing as ‘gun porn’. If these gun-grabbers don’t like guns, then don’t own one. How freaking hard is that to understand?!?!? I personally dislike guns, but I only support and vote for candidates that are STAUNCHLY pro-Second Amendment. My personal beliefs in no way should infringe upon any other citizen’s ability to own and enjoy a handgun, shotgun, or rifle. The writer of this supposed journalistic endeavour would do well to remember that little tidbit.

Stepping down off soapbox now.

So CBS, an outlet that works in free press is complaining about free press?

We contacted the stores to get the policy on gun magazines with no response.

That's because the store managers know an idiot when they're talking to one, and are smart enough not to waste their time and breath.

CBS46 went undercover to Publix, Kroger and Walmart to find the magazines.

....because you know their first thought if they see you coming "in uniform" would be "Hide the gun mags, here comes Channel 46!" [eyeroll]

Yikes! A magazine filled with phallic symbols?

Next thing the kid will want to polish one.

Oh my, gun porn,. These people really need to leave to places where this gun porn is unattainable. Then they can experience slavery porn first hand.

And yet real porn - the most obscenely deviant variety - particularly that of same-sex sodomy is regularly portrayed on television screens across the nation 24/7 ... and the internet is loaded with porn .... Funny how the libs do not give a gnat’s butt of that. In fact, any attempt that conservatives make to enforce obscenity laws is met with cries of us being against freedom of speech. These people are twisted beyond repair.

I loved reading Guns and Ammo when in my early/late teens. Mel Tappan was a favorite.

“Are you freaking serious? This is journalism?”

Absolutely! According to this quote from the article:

“CBS46 went undercover to Publix, Kroger and Walmart to find the magazines.”

They went... get this... into a grocery store... under cover, dude! It was all hush-hush with cool disguises to fool those working there that they were just your ordinary right-wing Joe Sixpacks and John Q. Publics!

Don’t you know that selling gun porn to children under 18 is a federal crime punishable by the death penalty? The wanted to make sure no one was breaking the law.

They should have called Inspector Clouseau for help on this case!

CBS46 went undercover to Publix, Kroger and Walmart to find the magazines. In one Publix, we found 15 gun magazines, more than travel, cooking and beauty magazines, at eye level, easily accessible to young children. A Dr. Seuss display was directly in front of rifle and gun magazines.

Oh the horror! I'm picturing Peter Sellers in a Pink Panther movie wearing a slouch hat and trench coat going "undercover" to find these magazines.

They went "undercover". To a grocery store. That's gutsy, Pulitzer material all right. Lord knows they might have been attacked by a crazed rutabaga.

Who the hell are "Glenn Sutton" and "Genarlo Lawhorn", anyway, the Oracle at Delphi? Two urine-soaked winos looking for a rest room? Our hard-hitting journalists neglect to say. Maybe they were too undercover to ask.

“exually explicit and tabloid magazines are kept on the top shelves of stores to keep them out of sight of precious young children,”

The last I saw those were eye-level to the kid sitting in the shopping cart seat at the checkout.
