Watch: Senator Ted Cruz Destroys Harry Reid Over Opposition To Kate's Law
Sean Hannity Show ^ | November 5th 2015 | Hannity.com Staff

Posted on 11/07/2015 7:43:54 AM PST by Isara

Ted Cruz has been on the Senate floor fighting for the passage of Kate's law, the law named for Kate Steinle who was murdered by an illegal alien in July of this year. The bill would block states and cities from receiving federal law enforcement funding if they refuse to communicate with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to that state or city's "sanctuary city" policies.

One of the bills most vocal opponents has been Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. During yesterday's debate on the Senate floor, Reid falsely characterized the bill as one that would "tear innocent families apart."

Senator Cruz fired back. Hard.

"It is sad that the Democratic leader chooses to stand with violent criminal illegal aliens instead of the American citizen," Cruz began. "But even sadder is that he impugns legal immigrants."

"I am the son of of an immigrant who came legally from Cuba," Cruz continued. "And for the Democratic leader to cynically suggest that somehow immigrants should be lumped into the same bucket with murderers and rapists demonstrates the cynicism of the modern Democratic party."

Watch Senator Ted Cruz destroy Harry Reid below:

Trump didn’t just rail at how morally bad the media is... he called them on baloney.

This is where a lot of America is. It’s tired of elevated moral abstractions which are now being infinitely abused by its purported betters. Declarations like Ted’s risk being greeted with a jaded “sure.” (Which is not Ted’s fault, but a problem with what America is ready for.)

But America still understands the concept of calling baloney, baloney. Truth needs to be known as truth and lies need to be known as lies. And being both energetic and adamant about it.

You’re right about jackhammer. The situation with Trump and Cruz is only mutually exclusive with respect to who’s going to actually be running as the GOP presidential candidate. It isn’t mutually exclusive as to who can advise whom. Trump respects where Cruz is; Trump sees the need to pound on the places where most profit can be had by pounding on them, and he’s pounding like there would be no tomorrow left to pound in.

it may not qualify as miracles but Trump has dealt a major blow to political correctness and to the “power” of the LSM. He’s made it ok to speak freely in some quarters again. We all have him to thank for that.

It’s so obvious that Trump is the one getting things done (already!). But many people ignore this elephant in the room because they can’t get passed the brainwashing that someone can’t be president if they’re not already a politician.

It’s so clear now how untrue that is.

[[I hope he is able to get that info out to more of us. Obviously one of his issues right now is the inability to get much media time.]]

Exactly, even fox news doesn’t really like having him on- They much prefer liberal republicans I guess

[[But he is a chisel to the problem when we need a jackhammer.]]

He may be a jackhammer- I’m hoping that he’s just biding his time before he unleashes a whirlwind on the left and his GOP opponents- They claim he is a firecracker- but like you say, so far, I’m only seeing him chisel away (which is good- our side needs that) but I’’ve not seen him really unload yet

[[how much Trump has been able to accomplish in this campaign already to change the political landscape and future. And he doesn’t he have a position in government yet!]]

Yup- while I would only vote for tump IF he is the only one to become nominee- I would much rather Cruz as I don’t trust trump on some issue-

BUT Trump has been tremendous for exposing BOTH sides for their extreme liberalism evil and hypocrisy- and normally, people are pretty much staunch In their affiliations, however, He’s been able to convince a good many libertarians to his side, and maybe even drag in some liberals as well (not sure yet if that’s a good thing or not- I think if Trump doesn’t make it s nominee, those libs will migrate back to their own camp)

[[One man took down the LSM propaganda machine that has been in power (yes, power!) for decades and decades! Just a man with personal power.]]

Absolutely- He’s been a phenomenal boon to this election cycle for sure- I still however hope Cruz wins the nominee personally, but his nomination, IF it would mean losing to the dems, I would want Trump to be the nominee simply because we can’t afford another 8 years of extreme liberalism- our country likely won’t survive it- and I think trump will really stick it to the LSM and the rinos

[[This exposes liberals in both parties as acting against the best interest of our nation.]]

Who does it expose them to though? Really it only exposes them to those who support Cruz In the first place, everyone else doesn’t really care- That is why we have 2 democrats running who really are quite despicable people who never should have made it as far in politics as they have- people just don’t care- She came right out and flat out lied about coming under sniper fire in bosnia, and it doesn’t m,atter- she’s still tremendously popular in the democratic realm- and even libertarians are on the fence about her when they should, by all rights, be appalled at her actions

Really the only people that reid is being exposed to are those who already know him to be a creep and can’t stand him

[[It might take a thousand cuts but Conservatives aren’t surrendering.]]

Yep- and we should keep fighting, absolutely, however, there are two camps, those who stand for truth, and those who hate truth- and really, truth is taking a severe beating, and yep- many people are getting weary (not quitting, just getting weary) and this is understandable

Thank Goodness Ted still has the fortitude to confront evil head on- not many In the GOP are even willing to do so any m ore- but He’s suffered terrible for doing so- with even his own party turning against him

I think people see the republican party going way left and evil triumphing over and over and over again, and the GOP doing nothing to stop it and think the GOP has simply given up

I have always wished for an American leader with the spine and intellect of Benjamin Netanyahu; I am convinced that Ted Cruz exhibits those exact attributes.

Actually Cruz had been talking truth to power when Trump’s biggest concern was who to “fire” next on “The Celebrity Apprentice”.....and long before.

Yes! Which is why the best thing that can happen is Trump/Cruz. No doubt Ted Cruz is a genius, but he can still learn a lot from Trump, who has 25 years on him and a ton of experience in the real world.

You really think “The Apprentice” was his biggest concern? think about it for 5 seconds and you should realize that claim is as empty as anything we can expect from the RATs or the LSM (repeating self).

The battle of Brandywine comes to mind as other string of battles leading up to Valley Forge where many were to give up the war of Independence.

Congress wasn’t helping George Washington for the cause for some were trying to sabotage George Washington’s efforts as the Conway Cabal.

George Washington even paid out of his own pocket for soldiers to stay on even after their term of serving was over.

Our fore fathers pleged their lives, their possessions, and their honor.

I guess your right, George Washington was such a loser since he lost the battle of Brandywine in south east Pennsylvania.

In fact he lost many battles leading up to Valley Forge and after that.

I guess they should have given up the effort of our Independence after losing a few battles.

By the way ?

Bennidict Arnold was a “ effective leader “ he “ got things done “ also ... As some say about Trump being a effective leader and by golly he gets things done.

This photograph of Ted Cruz with his daughters is lovely.
Not posed. Not phony. - They clearly adore & respect their
Daddy; and he likewise adores & respects them in return.

I guess they should have given up the effort of our Independence after losing a few battles.

We are not giving up the fight, we are simply bringing in a different leader for the upcoming battles which will only get tougher. Think of it like this, General Cruz has some help to take the fight to the next level.

Or alternatively, like when President Abraham Lincoln brought in General Grant to lead The Army of The Potomac, he didn't push General Meade into retirement, he just knew he needed a different kind of general to lead the fight.

For now, it seems, Ted Cruz can't push the cause much further without help from a guy like Trump. Give him 4 to 8 years as VP though and he will be ready!

It is too expensive to lock them up. Let’s just execute them. Murderers are a burden on society and should pay for their crimes.

No more so than to represent Cruz as the lesser of the two in their contribution to defy the establishment.

Ok...?

The point I’m sure you are trying to make must have sounded amusing at first thought, but it fails in its execution.
