Ted Cruz has been on the Senate floor fighting for the passage of Kate's law, the law named for Kate Steinle who was murdered by an illegal alien in July of this year. The bill would block states and cities from receiving federal law enforcement funding if they refuse to communicate with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to that state or city's "sanctuary city" policies.
One of the bills most vocal opponents has been Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. During yesterday's debate on the Senate floor, Reid falsely characterized the bill as one that would "tear innocent families apart."
Senator Cruz fired back. Hard.
"It is sad that the Democratic leader chooses to stand with violent criminal illegal aliens instead of the American citizen," Cruz began. "But even sadder is that he impugns legal immigrants."
"I am the son of of an immigrant who came legally from Cuba," Cruz continued. "And for the Democratic leader to cynically suggest that somehow immigrants should be lumped into the same bucket with murderers and rapists demonstrates the cynicism of the modern Democratic party."
Watch Senator Ted Cruz destroy Harry Reid below:
What I wish he had said was:
“If Senator Reid thinks, and his colleagues agree, that it’s too expensive to lock up these criminals, I have another proposal, one that is far cheaper. Maybe it’s time to lock up Senator Reid and his acolytes until they have a change of heart!”
heh
I hope they somehow bring this up in the next debate with 20 million people watching maybe that will force the congress to pass Kate’s law.
Truth is the Tea party could use this to kick many more democrats out of office for letting this go on in our country.
Its just such a darn shame our leaders care more about criminal aliens than people like Kate.

Harry Reid, is that you?
And the bill? Has this destroying got it passed in the senate? No?
This exposes liberals in both parties as acting against the best interest of our nation. San Francisco just voted out the Sheriff who supported these actions under the “Sanctuary City” policies.
We won’t destroy them in one battle. It might take a thousand cuts but Conservatives aren’t surrendering.
Harry Reid, is that you?
Some believe if you don’t win immediately it’s time to surrender. That’s why we’ve got McConnell, Cornyn and (previously) Boehner.
One does what one can. Cruz is good but he is not God and thus cannot perform miracles.
At least Cruz keeps fighting.
So we are left with Trump and Carson. The MSM are pitbulling Carson right now and he will fade. Trump will wear on people and likewise start to fade. Then the Willie K, to democrats, of the Conservative Party will rise to the top, Ted Cruz. They can't destroying him but he will sure as shooting will destroy Granny Hillary.
Oh, JUB, I ain't voting for no stinking Mexican.
You actually make the better comparison.
No immediate victory means surrender.
That's what Boner and Turdle do. Perhaps it is one of them posting here.
But it did nothing Reid still got his way. I think it is going take more than words to defeat Reid and his ilk.

Actually the left has so far destroyed the right over this proposed law- but that will turn around hopefully when a republican become president-
It won’t matter what a republican says now as democrats are incapable of feeling shame or humiliation- they are simply too thick- too dull of mind to understand how despicable they really are
Ted pretty much is just ‘preaching to the choir’ now- As liberals like are too ignorant to understand that they’ve been schooled
The inability to get his legislation through is one problem I have with Ted Cruz. Yes, he is only one of a hundred senators, but the next president will not have it as easy as obama has. Congress will fight back against a white president or a “Cuban” one. So the next president should be a real fighter. A proven tough guy!
Harry can’t be shamed, he has no moral code.
[[At least Cruz keeps fighting.]]
There is that, and we’re not saying don’t stop fighting- however, I think the point that was being made is that the voices of truth are not winning- they are being drowned out by the evil emanating from the left- The voices of truth are being ignored by practically everyone (and the reason is because we’ve now entered into a ‘gimmedat society’ where no one cares about what is right [except for the few real conservatives left], and they just want freebies regardless of what it will cost the country)
Again, this isn’t to say we should just roll over and surrender- no way- however, it is understandable why people are getting discouraged that truth constantly takes a beating, and they get discouraged more I think when people try to spin the defeats as wins (not that this is what the article was trying to get at- but it did kind of sound like it)
Cruz is an excellent debater- and he did tear Reid a new one for sure- but right now he’s basically just preaching to the choir because the left are simply too powerful, and people l ike reid are too thick and too dull of mind to understand they’ve be3en bested- However, it is still fun to watch people like Ted make monkeys out of the left, even if it doesn’t amount in a true win politically for the current issue being discussed
I am sure hoping and praying it plays out that way!
No.
Just reality getting in the way of a group hug.
[[The inability to get his legislation through is one problem I have with Ted Cruz.]]
He was on Hannity a few nights ago, after the debate, and addressed the claim bush made about him not getting anything through, and it’s just not true that he hasn’t- Ted went htrough a list of things he’s accomplished, and it was actually impressive given the fact that dems completely controlled both house and senate for a number of years
Politics is about communicating a message AND getting results.
Without communication, you will never get results.
So you communicate your message until you get a result.
That's what Ted Cruz is doing. That's NOT what Boner and Turdle do.
I hope he is able to get that info out to more of us. Obviously one of his issues right now is the inability to get much media time. Which he certainly wouldn’t have as president. He’d have a different media “issue” then...
At any rate things don’t feel like they’re getting any better, or even like they’re not getting any worse. As I’ve said before, I like Ted a lot. Great man! But he is a chisel to the problem when we need a jackhammer.
People who feel a strong loyalty to Ted Cruz (I was there before and still am to a degree) blindly ignore just how much Trump has been able to accomplish in this campaign already to change the political landscape and future. And he doesn’t he have a position in government yet!
One man took down the LSM propaganda machine that has been in power (yes, power!) for decades and decades! Just a man with personal power.
I wholeheartedly agree !
