Ted Cruz: It's In His Heart (Lloyd Marcus)
American Thinker ^ | November 3, 2015 | Lloyd Marcus

Posted on 11/03/2015 7:04:14 AM PST by Isara

...

“...it's not only the left but also the right that is out to destroy America. Wicked people in high places, the elite if you will, control both parties. That is why no matter who is elected that nothing changes.”

This patriot brother's discouragement explains why I want Ted Cruz in the driver's seat as president. On numerous occasions, Ted Cruz has proven that he has no problem being odd-man-out with regard to Washington politics.

I have made the following point numerous times. Politicians promise the moon on the campaign trail. The 64,000-dollar question is who will have the cojones and core conservative instincts to follow through if elected? Atop my list is Ted Cruz.

A gospel classic is titled, “It's in My Heart.” Folks, Ted Cruz has proven that conservatism is in his heart. Our only hope of liberating ourselves from the “Washington cartel” (both parties conspiring against the people) as Cruz perfectly described it is to select a presidential nominee with conservatism in his/her heart.

Cruz is well experienced in being hated by both political parties and the media. He acts like a duck, allowing their relentless venomous rebukes to roll off his back. Cruz stays laser focused on doing what is right for God, country and We the People. That's what has me standing up and cheering for Ted Cruz.

...

Ted Cruz is the total package.

...

But the candidate who checks all of my boxes for not giving a rat's derriere about what the Washington cartel and media thinks of him; the candidate who places America and her people first; the candidate who is unapologetic regarding his Christian faith; passionately defends liberty and honors our Constitution is Sen Ted Cruz. Will Cruz remain the same person when elected? You betcha!

You mean the Ted Cruz that voted to reauthorize the unconstitutional Patriot Act or the Ted Cruz that voted to give Obama fast track authority to negotiate job killing trade deals or maybe you are thinking of the Ted Cruz that wants a 500% increase in H1B vasas (what does Ted Cruz have against working Americans?) and how about that Amnesty Ted handing out teddy bears and soccer balls to the illegal invaders as they crossed our southern border.

yeah that's the guy I want as president /s

I’m trying to imagine a scenario where Cruz, a man they claim is a Constitutional Conservative, Constitutional Scholar and loves America, could vote for TPA believing in his heart of hearts that TPA was in the best interest of America or Americans. I can’t do it! The conclusion I come to is that when push comes to shove, Cruz will do exactly what the people paying his way want him to do. I also believe that Trump actually loves America and would ultimately act in America’s self interest. That certainly would best explain his stated positions on the issues. Can they say the same about Cruz? Knowing he did vote for the corker bill and also states he wants to increase H1B visas 5x.

Ping me to a isolationist thread and we can discuss my views on that subject. This thread is about Ted Cruz and I have nod desire to see it hijacked.

I'll post the links only for people who still want to know the facts.

Corker Bill:

Ted Cruz's Record of defending U.S. Sovereignty:

TPA:

Please watch this video. Ted Cruz described the situation around the votes for TPA and Corker's bills.

H1B Visa:

Do you know the story behind the H1B visa stuff?

It was in the middle of a battle which Ted Cruz and a few senators fought against the 'Gang of 8' amnesty bill. He offered an amendment to counteract pro-illegal immigration provisions of the amnesty bill.

I, and many people, are grateful that Ted Cruz led this fight. Otherwise, they would have approved amnesty already.

Remember this fight in 2013?

That is exactly the problem I have with Cruz too. Very nicely stated. And how in the hell could an "I love America" Cruz go to the border and hand out teddy bears to illegals invading our country!

Yeah, concerning those H-1B visas issue, it seems the Trump supporters are the perfect example of shear hypocrisy.

Donald Trump’s supporters keep whinning and harping on about some phantom legislation that hasn’t even been passed in Congress that Ted Cruz has suppositely proposed, but yet ?

Donald Trump gets a free pass and is some how privileged to hire H-1B workers.

Ted Cruz gets condemned for even suppositely proposing some phantom legislation concerning H-1B visas, while Donald Trump’s companies have sought for 1,000 H-1B workers.

His club alone in Florida has applied for 70 H-1B applications for 70 forgien workers that displaces 70 American workers.

Some hypocrisy is more equal than others I guess.

Ted Cruz is judged and is running on his record, Trump is running away from his and somehow avoids being judged for his life long support of Democrat positions and candidates. I too hope that Trump has matured, evolved or whatever to become a real conservative, but he has a long ways to go to match the lifelong commitment of Ted Cruz.

Those who dislike Cruz because of a tactic or maneuver to preserve some liberty where it was threatened do not care to understand the rules of the engagement. What I find the most disconcerting is that the support for Trump is in large part due the the belief that he can get things done, even if it means going outside the constitutional process, but there is little in real assurance as to just what he will get done and if his form of conservationism is just another form of unconstitutional rule.

Most of his supporters is driven by emotions.

Promises them a chicken in every pot , while promising them the moon.

They think he can single handedly bring all our jobs back from over seas, but forget what caused those jobs to leave America’s shores in the first place.

High taxes and over regulation, and until you get rid of both those jobs are never coming back.

Some proposed taxing China’s imports, forgetting the heavy burden put on already burdened families.

They think just with Donald Trump’s personally, heavy handed management style that the forces that keep the jobs from coming back are some how magically going to say uncle and America will be great again.

They are deluded to think that all is going to change because of Trump’s personally or the virtue of who he is.
