On November 2, The Daily Beast pointed to recent statements from President Obama and Hillary Clinton regarding the implementation of Australian-style gun confiscation and suggested âcivil war could erupt on American soilâ if any administration actually tried to confiscate privately owned firearms.
The Daily Beast theoretically agreed that âconfiscation on a massive scaleâ may be âthe only way to solve American gun violence,â but they pointed out that it was not realistic and suggested Hillary risks causing irreparable divisions by talking about confiscation then mocking gun owners as conspiracy theorists waiting for âblack helicoptersâ to come take their guns away.
According to The Daily Beast, confiscation was workable in Australia because there was no Second Amendment and the government only had to take 650,000 guns. That is a far cry from the â350 millionâ believed to be in Americansâ hands.
Yes, â350 million.â
But even more important than the number of guns is the depth of American âdevotionâ to them. And The Daily Beast observes that it is this devotionâthis dedication to the philosophy and tradition underlying the right to keep and bear armsâthat turns the mere mention of confiscation into something that could literally rip the country apart.

Thought experiment: if you were an American of Japanese extraction in early 1942, why did you allow yourself to be shipped off from home? The sheer trust that people have in gubmint is extraordinary.
“Hillary risks causing irreparable divisions by talking about confiscation then mocking gun owners as conspiracy theorists waiting for âblack helicoptersâ to come take their guns away....”
democrats have been successfully dividing Americans into groups for years and pitting them against each other. Now she is mocking and taunting one of the groups that for the most part oppose her and her democrats. I am very unhappy with the Republican party, I look at it as a path to election for a Conservative. I have no and have never had a use for the democrats.
They better get all the baseball bats, clubs, knives and forks too..
The Davidians were indeed armed. They had the drop on the ATF and the only reason there wasn’t a bloodbath was that the Davidians allowed the ATF to withdraw with their dead and wounded after they ran out of ammo.
I’ve always wondered if the Davidians had known then that they would be killed, would they have let the ATF escape?
Hillary and her ilk has never been in a war. We have.
well you could always just not capitalize letters
or use punctuation much
like archy does
Try not to use quotation marks and apostrophes until it’s fixed.
Thanks! I noticed it’s not every site.
For instance, if I posted from Breitbart, then it does it.
However, if I post from the Huffington Post, then no problem?
Here was my post from the Huffington Post. There was no problem there.

My posts have varied as well. Words that are contractions seem to cause the problem more than anything.

That chart goes to 2013; my guess is that the number is closer to 400 million.
“So the question in my mind is; When they come for your neighborâs guns, will you help defend him? Or wait until they come for yours”
Old Sarge is right, and your question is very legitimate. THEY WILL come, and NO one person, family or even small community can withstand their onslaught. Those individuals brave or dumb enough to try to resist, including the neighbor coming to help, will almost instantly be “neutralized”. The people coming will be trained to locate even the best hiding places that are reasonably accessible to the owners, so your PVC pipe cache in your back yard will be found.
Macho internet bluster and bragging about the number of guns you have will not help you, and will probably hurt you, when the chips are down. Only SERIOUS regional or even national organization can withstand. I don’t think that exists at present.
