The endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) by pro-same-sex marriage hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer just might turn social conservatives away from Rubio and toward someone like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-T) . This might be good for Rubioâs bank account but could be nettlesome for him in the run up to a primary season dominated in part by social conservatives.
âIt gives me pause, because Singer has a deep commitment to flipping the Republican party on gay marriage, and he undoubtedly knows more than we do about what Rubio is saying privately about the First Amendment Defense Act,â said influential activist and thinker Maggie Gallagher of the American Principles Project and the Pulse2016 blog.
Gallagher told Breitbart News, âWe shouldnât make Rubio responsible for all his donorsâ views. But we should be pressing Rubio for a commitment to passing the First Amendment Defense Act in the first 100 days in office.â

We need a Burma Shave meme Generator! That’s brilliant!
Not if he gives 10 or 20 dollars. Yes if the donor is giving millions and buying access.
Rubio is a big government liberal who occasionally talks a good game. Gay “marriage” is an oxymoron, Amnesty is rewarding lawlessness, and gun grabbing is the quickest way to start our second Civil War. Rubio is untrustworthy on all three issues. There is no situation in which I would vote for him.
Rubio is FOR SALE. That’s why the big guy made his down payment. Rubio is NOT a conservative or a Constitutionalist. He is a closet Mitch McConnel.

Is that a warm kiss of death?
As if we din’t already know. This is a sure sign he’s part of the establishment, something I felt since before he was elected to the senate.
Talks a good conservative game publicly when he needs to, but cozy’s up to the establishment off stage.
his chief of staff (Cesar Condas) sed to work for one of Soro's propaganda distribution networks (newspaper)
Rubio doesn’t care about the primaries. He is going for the GOPe and RNC endorsements to replace Jeb Bush who is looking rather like an embarrassment now. That is worth more than primary victories at convention time.
His amnesty stance utterly overshadows and negates any conservative views he may have. If one is a solid free market social conservative none of it matters if you also favor amnesty and citizenship for the illegals and increased legal immigration as well. What does it matter if there is a one term Reagan but that otherwise Reagan is also an Amnestyist and gains the Democrats an unassailable and permanent socialist voting majority. Any Republican who becomes President and does Amnesty will be the last Republican president-the last non Democrat president. He would also reduce Republican participation in the Legislature to temporary nominality but that obviously wouldn’t make any difference there.
Wall Street CEOs open up about their gay sons
By Blake Ellis @blakeellis3
Hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, CEO of Elliott Management Corp., said that before his son Andrew came out of the closet he would have rated himself "a solid 2.1" out of 10 when it came to accepting LGBT issues.
One night in 1998, when he and Andrew were at dinner, Andrew started asking Singer about his "views on homosexuality." The questions were asked in such a way that Singer began to wonder whether his son could be gay.
"[I reacted] with fear and nervousness, I worried about the health aspects ... grandfatherhood," Singer said.
He was determined to handle the issue carefully, but he wasted no time getting to the bottom of it.
The next day, "[Andrew] was walking in the door, and right there, [I said], 'Are you gay?'" Singer recalled. "He basically said 'yes.'"
Over the next couple months, Singer said his conversations with Andrew brought him to a 5.5 or 6 out of 10 on the acceptance scale. He eventually became a steadfast supporter of gay rights.
In 2012, he launched the American Unity PAC, which aims to persuade fellow conservatives to support same-sex marriage. He has actively supported same-sex marriage campaigns and makes large donations to LGBT groups.

I recognize what you're saying here; but, what IS the organization? Whatever it is, does their message actually resonate?
btw, Austin Ruse is right now on Breitbart News Radio (Sirius / XM ch 125) talking about his story.
He makes the point that beyond the bare facts, there is the matter of SCOTUS overreach. And THAT is not getting any attention in the current campaign.
I know this is right in Cruz's wheelhouse and I would like to see him point out how Rubio's new money man has the strings on Mario that assure the trend toward total federal control continues.
They do as an ideal but less and less in practice. At least around here where there is a large population of Spanish speakers, illegal and on work visas, their attitudes toward marriage are rapidly approximating those of the Negro population here.
This guy is what the GOP is all about. Principled conservatives belong in the back of the bus, as far as they are concerned.
