I got a density reading 18 months ago when I started the super slow weight training....so will report next August.
What are intervals? I’m trying to get in shape too! Lots of good info here!
That’s right.
As Bo Jackson said “Just Do It!”
Thanks...I’ll look at that.
Well...my intervals used to be on a treadmill....warm up for 3 minutes at about 4mph....then ramp it up in speed so heart rate goes up...do 30 seconds as fast as possible (or until heart rate gets to appropriate level - depends on age)...then back down to 4mph for 90 sec...then repeat another 7 times...then cool down about 3 min. Total time is about 22 min. Now I do the same on an Elliptical...as my hip was having problems with the running.
Someone posted above about doing Tabata...which looks like weight lifting intervals that only take about 3-4 minutes....I may look into that. I really would rather do other things than “exercise.”
No kidding? I have used castor oil in the eyes...may have to use it more. Opthamalogist prescribed some eye drops for dry eyes...I looked at the ingredients and refuse to use them...one of the ingredients is castor oil. I use a really good natural saline spray now...seems to work. I really do hate going to the Pharma Docs.
I wouldn’t necessarily believe your doctor. ...:>?
Bookmark - some great information in this thread.
20 exercises 10 minutes, everyday. My fitness level is extremely high.
What about Super High Intensity Training?

I identify as a super athlete, So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.
You HARD workout nuts (like me) be aware that your protein enzyme blood tests will show muscle damage when you go for your physicals.
Try to convince your physician that you work out very, very hard, until total muscle exhaustion, repeatedly, and the blood enzymes showing damage is a badge of honor and proof your efforts are taking hold.
I don't need a physical to tell me.
My muscles that are being exercised start vibrating,...and the whole machine starts vibrating...that's the time to hold the weights for another 10 seconds and then ease off.
I get plenty of exercise carrying the coffins of my friends who exercise.
Okay, I tried that. Pulse immediately after was 76. Two minutes later, 64. Two more minutes, 52. I think my maximum rate would be in the upper 160s? So perhaps I am not doing enough to push to a higher percent of the maximum.
Is round a shape?
short bursts of activity = sex
