Metrojet Rules Out Technical Failure or Human Error for Crash in Sinai Peninsula
By NEIL MacFARQUHAR NOV. 2, 2015
MOSCOW â Senior officials at Metrojet, the charter airline company whose Airbus passenger plane crashed in Egypt over the weekend, killing all 224 people aboard, on Monday ruled out any technical failure or human error on the part of the airline in the catastrophe.
âWe absolutely exclude the technical failure of the plane, and we absolutely exclude pilot error or a human factor,â Alexander A. Smirnov, a former pilot who is now the airlineâs deputy director for aviation, said at a packed news conference in Moscow.
Mr. Smirnov said that the crash could have been caused by âan external impact on the plane,â but he said an investigation would determine the cause.

I disagree with the statement at the heart of this article. It is much too early to rule out mechanical failure or human error, just as it is too early to rule out a bomb.
That's true...but I was thinking along the lines of the Dutch or Malaysian *governments*.Fair's fair...after all,Vlad shot down the Malaysian airliner (despite his denials).
Sure he did!
224 Russian civilians deserved to be killed to teach Putin a lesson,
Because it made great strategic and PR sense for Putin to shoot down a civilian airliner over Ukraine territory and draw the West into the Ukraine war... Just like it made great strategic sense for Bashar Assad to gas 1300 children and trigger obama’s redline to draw the West into the Syrian war.
Hey Putin was airborne several hundred miles away from that Ukraine air space ( on an altered flight path ) so maybe he even directed that Malaysian passenger plane over that territory in his aircraft’s place ..... Oh wait, that Malay aircraft was directed over that area by the Ukrainian ATC
“There are no technical failures that could lead to the plane breaking up in the air,” Alexander Smirnov, director of flights at Kogalymavia charter airline told a press conference in Moscow.
He added that “the only explanation — is some kind of external action”, without giving further details.
He said the plane began falling out of control and the pilots had no time to report the emergency situation.
“The crew totally lost control and for that reason there was not one attempt to get in contact and report on the accident situation onboard,” Smirnov said.
The plane was “flying out of control — that is it wasn’t flying, it was falling,” he said.
“Apparently by that moment the plane had received significant damage to its construction that did not allow it to continue the flight.”
Well then the answer is clear. The fuel tank exploded.
And the Egyptian ATC who reported the distress call will be found with a bullet hole in the back of his head, and a note pinned to his body stating he committed suicide.
Shouldn't they wait to see what the black box info contains before DECLARING this ?
They may be right, but how can they say this without an investigation? They really should be more cautious with speculation.
I think what you describe is most likely what happened. There is an indication that the FDR telemetry does not show much about the crash. If true, your scenario would explain it. If the tail (with FDR) was separated, the data from the flight deck would cease.
Show where any Airbus cargo doors have shown an inflight failure at any time and your argument may be valid. Just because some 737 cargo doors were mis-handled and the latching mechanisms of the non-plug doors were damaged causing ex-decomp in the ‘80s doesn’t mean baggage doors on an A321 will suffer the same fate.
It was an external force. Bomb or missle.
With so many things in motion over there and in Iraq...it may be hard to track down. Now before anybody says this is not feasible nor possible...please note the ISIS forces in our A-1 ABRHAMS TANKS AND HUMVEES.
Some group or groups has this stuff and had it in hiding or in the heat of battle had no idea how to deploy it...until now!
Things just got a heel-ah-vah lot more complicated in the mid-east.
GET ALL OUR PEOPLE OUT NOW !!!!
WE CAN BOMB THEM FROM THE SEA/SPACE.
Yup,he did.Glad we're in agreement.
Nice try,Putinista...but no sale!
Any bets that the Black Box goes missing?

I know that. But what I was snarkingly referring to is if the BB’s don’t show what Russia wants them to show then they’ll go missing.
I got you. Of course, they can make many things(or people) appear and disappear. Truths and evidences are “state properties” in Russia.
How about the Air Bus that fell out of the sky a few years ago in a flight form South America to France? Tore apart in the air.
Without Googling it, I believe that flight had all of its pitot tubes ice up and the pilots stalled the aircraft while going on incorrect instrument information.
