$20 trillion man: National debt nearly doubles during Obama presidency
The Washington Times ^ | 1 Nov 2015 | Dave Boyer

When President Obama signs into law the new two-year budget deal Monday, his action will bring into sharper focus a part of his legacy that he doesn’t like to talk about: He is the $20 trillion man.

Mr. Obama’s spending agreement with Congress will suspend the nation’s debt limit and allow the Treasury to borrow another $1.5 trillion or so by the end of his presidency in 2017. Added to the current total national debt of more than $18.15 trillion, the red ink will likely be crowding the $20 trillion mark right around the time Mr. Obama leaves the White House.

On July 3, 2008, the day before Independence Day , Obama said “driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars to $9 trillion, it is irresponsible. It is unpatriotic.” A fool will always be a feckless fool on the hill.

Who had final veto authority?

That's exactly the point. Obama didn't have to lift a finger to get the spending. Our congress presented it to him and all he had to do was sign it.

I know. I just roll my eyes when I hear someone say that. What are we gonna do, print money? Yeah. That’s the ticket. 1920’s Weimar Republic, here we come.

“Who had final veto authority?”

Whatever. But really isn’t that called rationalization? or at least passing the buck.
$20,000,000,000,000.00 and only one man made any attempt to stop or eve slow it down.
ONE man.

What he said is true. GOP has controlled the House for how long and they initiate spending bills. They just went along to get along even when they controlled both the house and senate. It is not all Osumbags fault.

I am no fan of the Marxist Muslim, but the debt is not his fault.

It is the fault of the House of Representatives who must vote for every spending bill.

Obama is the $27 trillion man.
