I am sorry to have to do this, but as a representative of the mainstream media, I hereby declare war on GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz. In the media's defense, Cruz started it. I just read Rex Huppke’s tweets.
He describes himself as a “serious humor columnist”.

I have not the slightest doubt that if this smug leftist is dumb enough to get into a war of words with Senator Cruz, he'll think he walked into a propeller.
I think little Rex is just trying to share the limelight ... to feel important. Bet he'll be genuinely surprised when he discovers that there are people far more talented, far more educated, far more wise who disagree with him ... and can capably and zealously defend their contrary positions (unlike the people he exclusively interacts with inside his utopian liberal bubble who all think alike lest they be ostracized and thrust into the cruel world of reality).

also, if you are using fireFox, just install the “nosctript”
plugin. when you run across these dang popups, just press the button and scripts magically stop running on the website. This, of course, won’t get you around sites that are password protected. It also destroys those really annoying google survey hijacks
