I really don’t see how the Mannatech situation matters or will impact him much.

Product endorsements don’t destroy any presidential candidate, from my memory. Trump always said the companies he worked with in business and through The Apprentice show were “phenomenal, wonderful companies that were the best in their industry.” This was patently not true by any standard under almost all circumstances, but it was schtick that was accepted in the given contexts.

Have you taken Donald Trump to task for his lies on companies, in exchange for money?

Dr. Ben, you were set up, Sir. WTP attempted to warn you; not once but a number of times. This is politics 101 and the MSM plays for blood. They are a pro at building you up in order to see you fall HARD. You’re not the first and *alas!* certainly will not be the last man chosen for this ‘honor’. Ask Sara Palin, Herman Cain, or any other ‘outsider’ how this worked out for them. You and I did not agree on a number of issues but I was never against you. in fact I've purchased several DVDs of his movie "Gifted Hands" and given them away to family, friends, democrats.

Can’t tell you how many nights of sleep I’ve lost at the thought of an association between Dr. Ben Carson and Mannatech. And to think this had to come up just before Halloween. Oh my.

CNN interviewed Armstrong Williams early this evening. He gave as excellent a run down as could be given. Carson contracted four speeches over the course of 11 years for this company, through a speakers bureau. The company was looking for a neurosurgeon opinion on the product for a PBS Healthy Eating program.

Carson likes the product and takes the product. He is into natural remedies and foods as well as traditional medicine and diet. He was perfect for the Mannatech. He still likes the product, but got out of the contract for anymore speeches or productions because they came under investigation and he was opposed to the written script contents he was given in Las Vegas, where the promo speech was to be made. He did not give the speech at all and has not returned to them.

I don’t buy that this is a significant stumbling block for Dr. Carson. I do not believe that he has the charisma to take this all the way to the presidency. As far as this incident however, it just is not going to stick.

The problem with what you posted: This is what ANY candidate with an R behind their name will face.

Every. One. If the most honest, most incredible candidate ever, say Ronald Reagan, they would be treated the same way in this age of despicable deception.
