"What this photograph demonstrates is that..."
There was lightning and thunder in his words and eyes when Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was lashing out at the liberal media during Wednesday night's debate.
There was a whole different picture during a break, when Cruz spent some happy moments with his daughters Caroline and Catherine. A picture of Cruz with the two girls was uploaded to Twitter, where voters got a glimpse of the man behind the message.

The image connected across America.
“As a dad myself, I approve of this pic. Over and over,” wrote Michael Cantrell on Young Conservatives.
“What this photograph demonstrates is that Cruz is a family man, a leader who has something worth fighting for. He's not just fighting for our liberty, for our rights, but for the future of his daughters,” Cantrell wrote.
“For him, the battle to save and restore America is a personal one, and a man who has skin the game will always fight harder than those who don't,” Cantrell added.
“Endearing. An example for all men,” tweeted Gena Farley. “Go Ted, Cruzin in GA for you.”
“I love their adoring look at their dad! Precious pic,” tweeted Kelly Moritz.
At a campaign event in Texas earlier this month, Cruz asked the crowd at Prestonwood Baptist Church for prayers for his daughters so they both know they are loved.
"The hardest thing about this campaign is being on the road," Cruz said about having to be away from his two girls.
Thanks, RC, for finding the picture of Melania with Ted’s daughters.
It says “thats my daddy” wonderful heart felt photo
Impressive - thanks for the link.
Ya’ can’t “photo op” a daughter’s love!
I saw this when I met Ted over a friends house during his runoff for Primary.
His kids were running around the house and he was a father so proud of them, obviously.
“Ever notice how many presidents have had two daughters?”
Thank God there are no two Chelseas out there.
Or, knowing Bill, I wonder how many are really out there?
Great picture... thanks for posting this...
I don’t know about the other women here, but I’m looking at his girls in the cute little dresses, and I’m reminded of when I was that little and my mom putting my sister and I in matching dresses. And my dad, who was a real man, a Vet, loving his girls like that. And I feel misty eyed,
You know he’s a good man, just from that photo. A man of character. And that, along with the respect he shows people even if he disagrees with them is why he HAS to be in the White House. He gets what will happen to our country if he, or a man who also thinks like him is not in office. And that should scare the stuffing out of us, especially if we want our children and grandchildren to have a good world,
Lovely.
I am for Cruz because he loves this country and respects the Constitution. But seeing that photo makes my heart smile.
+1
Excellent description.
I think you mean Webb?
Now, you’ve done it. You made this girl cry. (Been missing my father lately for some reason, and he’s been gone for 42 years.)
The little girls could spend the next 16 years in the WH
That would be a wonderful team.
i remember those little dresses. I wore them, too. Hand-smocked, remember them?
I think you’re right on target with your assessment of Cruz’s character. It really does shine through even in his photos.
Any man who has daughters or granddaughters, and is not fighting angry about the Muslim invasion of the USA and Christian Europe, - in not a manly man.
Wow! What a beautiful photo of a man and his daughters. They are so cute!
Don’t over think it. Kids, like pets are hard to shoot even in a studio setting. If this were truly contrived, his older daughter’s hand wouldn’t have movement blur and his slight over exposure of those dresses wouldn’t be there. He would have pre dialed in his shutter speed, ISO and aperture for a studio style shot. The girls would have been coached to be “studio frozen”. This was an opportunity shot by the photographer, nothing more, nothing less.
Because he didn't need to. He knows what he's going to say, because he believes what he's saying, and has a strong enough mind to speak extemporaneously.
He could consult with those who are the reason he's doing what he's doing.
