Senator Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) 48% says heâs not concerned with the vetting of the 10,000 Syrian refugees coming to the United States.
âAre you concerned with the refugees coming here in the next 12 months? Are you concerned about the vetting process?â talk show host Dan Mandis asked Corker on Nashvilleâs WWTN radio Wednesday.
âWell, Iâm not, because we are going to vet them,â Corker said.
Corkerâs claims that the 10,000 Syrian refugees the State Department plans to grant entry to the United States in Fiscal Year 2016 are being properly vetted is in direct conflict with FBI Director James Comeyâs testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee last week.
As CNS News reported:
âWe can only query against that which we have collected, and so if someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interests reflected in our database, we can query our database til the cows come home, but ⦠thereâll be nothing show up, because we have no record on that person,â said Comeyâ¦
Ranking member Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) 19% asked Comey, âMr. Director, before this committee, [FBI] Assistant Director [Michael] Steinbach said that the concerns in Syria is that we donât have the systems in place on the ground to collect the information to vet. That would be the concern. Databases donât hold the information on these individuals. Is that still the position of the department?â
âYes, I think thatâs the challenge weâre all talking about ...snip... we can query our database til the cows come home, but weâre not gonnaâthereâll be nothing show up, because we have no record on that person,â

There have been a good number of articles about the rapid rise in ME settlement in TN.
If there’s even a single refugee isn’t properly vetted and turns out to be an ISIS extremist who goes off and kills someone using ISIS methods, Corker’s political career will be hung with these words. It won’t be like with Lamar last year at all.
What has become of the state of Tennessee that they send Corker and Alexander to the Senate? And reelect them.
Alexander Hamilton said “Better an enemy in their camp than yours”. 250 years later, the mental giants here and elsewhere showed him how right he was by flooding their own camp with the enemy, then crying the blues at what they brought on themselves and the rest of us.
Oh and stomping their feet when anyone points it out.
Your a priori “reasoning” is why you make my hair hurt.
Back to ignoring your blather.
They buy into the liberal mantra pushed here and elsewhere that lesser evil is a thing to be accepted. In short, they are just fine with electing evil. We have the same problem in AZ.
Well your hair hurting does not change the truth of my statement and obviously you can’t prove it incorrect so...
I vote for the Constitution Party, or the Libertarian Party, or for Mickey Mouse.
Bob Corker...The stupid is very strong in this one....
why would they have to identify themselves as ISIS? What about the murder rate? Rape rate? Should be proof enough for anyone with a brain.
Me too. I vote for CONSERVATIVES only.
I can proudly say I never voted for a Bush...1 or 2.
And here in Ohio, I never voted for Kasich.
To put it simply Corker is an idiot.
Between the Iran deal and this...He can’t be this stupid. He has skeletons in the closet he needs to come out of, or he is a traitor. The Tree Of Liberty is getting thirsty, my friends...
“....because we are going to vet them,â Corker said.”
.
The way they vetted the enigma called Obama?
Who did you vote for then? There wasn’t much to choose
from & the alternatives were worse. - TN is at the
forefront of resistance to the moslem training camps. -
See gates of Vienna. We are clinging to our guns &
religion & they need to know it going in.
Ed Bryant
He was a House attorney trying to impeach Clinton..
about the mosl;em training camps
yes I know I was at Manchester, June 2014
There wasnât much to choose

there was nobody on the primary ticket worse than Corker...
there is no lessor of two evils..its still evil...
Given both this comment and his traitorous act of sponsoring a bill that let Obama treat the deal with Iran like a settled law and not a treaty, the question naturally arises: Who’s team is he playing for?
I think that a thorough examination of his campaign donations would provide an answer to that. While I haven’t seen them, I would imagine that quite a lot filtered in from various Arab- and Moslem-related entities and individuals.
I have decided that my primary political mission in 2018, when this traitorous scumbag is up for re-election, is to see that any primary opponent beats him; alternatively, I will work to elect the Dem in Tennessee in 2018 - at least then we will KNOW that an enemy holds that seat.
You betcha! He's corrupt, he's playing for the other team because they are PAYING HIM. Either it is campaign cash or something behind the scenes to family members. Count on it.
“A cage for this one.”
