BEIJING—China on Thursday said it would formally end its notorious one-child policy, which was intended to curb a surging population but has since been blamed for looming demographic problems in the world’s No. 2 economy. In a brief statement on Thursday, China’s official Xinhua News Agency said all Chinese would be allowed to have two children. It didn’t provide a time frame or any other details.

You make a very valid point. But the one-child policy also resulted in a shortage of females because Chinese couples preferred male babies, resulting in abortions or even infanticide of female babies.

Why is this policy “notorious”? Is it because it limits adult decisions or kills babies?
That cultural affinity for boys over girls will continue, but the Chinese are too late. The cultural materialism practiced in Asian will simply continue on with people having few children if any children, except for the religious.
Lose your soul as a nation by turning away from God and it’s hard to get it back.
The one-child policy coupled with sex-selective abortions of females has resulted in China having the most unbalanced sex ratio of any country. Coupled with the growing affluence of the coastal regions, this means that there is a huge market for importing brides from poorer areas, meaning that the ratios are even worse in those areas. This is a sociological disaster unfolding in slow motion that's taken decades to create and won't be solved anytime soon.

That is true. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is infinite. Some Chinese are embracing it as a status symbol, others sincerely. They are the religious, along with Muslims, who will have children because it is godly to do so.
China is over. Let’s not let that happen to America.
I’m not questioning your assertion, except to point out that last year America ran an all-time trade deficit with China.
This year, is looking to do that, yet again.
Every single year, our trade situation deteriorates.
Rather it will be China to send the Christian missionaries, with Africa over to America and the west bring the Gospel of Jesus.
