Got a chance to briefly meet him once. Awesome music.

Is his back any better?
IIRC that's why he stopped touring in the first place.

I just was thinking about him and his 1980’s hit: “illegal alien”.
Wonder if he’ll play it in concert now that old immigration laws are no longer?
He could change the song’s refrain from: “it’s no fun, being an illegal alien.”
To: “it’s so fun, being an illegal alien”.
That update sums it up.

A drummer friend of mine said that Collins' posture was so awful for all those years, that it was no wonder he messed up his back.

Last i read he was ailing in so many ways. A million aches and pains that keep from drumming. He said he felt miserable. Maybe he’ll sit in a chair and just sing. The man is worth 200 million or so....
I like his pop tunes. Is there still a demand to see this ol fart???

They hit all of the Mexican stereotypes in that song.
Way beyond “microagressions” ;n)
Love it

Genesis was brilliant! Their exploration of syncopation and rhythm was second to none.

Nice to find a fan here. Al Stewart is still a well known name in the UK, Year of the Cat is a daily constant on radio and one of the most famous pop singles of the 70s in the UK.

Didn’t like Genesis. Never liked Phil either live or in the Stu-stu-studio.

Phil Collins is a serious collector of Alamo artifacts, and seems very knowledgeable on the topic. I read somewhere a few years ago that he donated artifacts from the Alamo to some museum somewhere.

Genesis fact: Abacab was named so simply because those were the chords used to play the song. I remember listening to him say that in a radio interview in the 80’s. I thought that was pretty neat...: )
