Why exactly?
We are aware that Dan Rather can lie to remove a candidate, why can we trust any source? Back in August the smart folks funding the GOPe thought Trump would simply shoot himself in the foot or that he would fade like others in the past. That turned out to be false and wishful thinking. Then recently we were informed that Rove/GOPe were going all out to remove Trump. And look what happens. We have polls mysteriously moving Trump down and Carson up when nothing has happened to change anything. Well almost nothing. We know that the Rove/ GOPe now see that Trump is a real threat that needs to be dealt with. Nothing else changed.
So, we have a track record that Dan Rather types are willing to risk their careers to stop a president. We know that Trump is finally considered a legit candidate. We know nothing has happened in recent weeks to cause Trump to lose support or for Carson to gain support. So, no. I don't need to trust this poll result if I trusted the August poll.

Agree with you. This is real for the filter of the sample but otherwise it’s total bullshit. Hot Air and the other media outlets are really going over the top to promote this Carson story. Has anyone noticed these big swings always occur around debate time? Last time it was Fiorina and Rubio. Now it’s Carson. If Hot Air filtered this to the 60% Reuters did, it would show Trump with a 7 point lead. Want to filter to General Election voters? Shows Trump with the lead. Very Conservative and Moderately Comservative? Trump with the lead. Unfiltered raw numbers? Trump with the lead. Basically, this is the only permutation showing Carson with a lead and Hot Air runs with it. This is a temporary blip. Trump’s overall numbers are still good, he’s not declining, his support is solid. Carson will display his utter lack of economic knowledge tonight and Trump should wipe the floor with all of them. Carson will begin to trend down again next week and Trump will settle into a 5-7 point lead nationally.

Interesting poll because whenever I see Donald Trump on the campaign you see WAY MORE PEOPLE in the crowd than you ever see at Ben Carson.
