Regarding Google's malware database and malware warnings on FR

Basically, it's full of crap. Apparently, they have two issues with FR. One is that a user (a long-time user not a hacker) posted a link to an image that (unknown to him) resides on a site google has registered in their database as a malware site. We've pulled the post and notified google. Have no idea when they'll stop flagging us.
The other is that we have links to aim.org. NSS. Aim is a conservative site. Have no idea how many, but I'm sure we've had hundreds or even thousands of links posted to aim.org. We're not going to pull them.
Why google is apparently randomly flagging unrelated threads on FR I have no idea. Your guess is good as mine.
But it's not just google Chrome. Any browser that relies on google's database is doing this.
If you want to stop these erroneous and obnoxious warning messages immediately, you can set a browser option to ignore such warnings. Your virus protection software will catch any real viruses.
Thank you all very much for notifying me. I've received dozens and dozens of these already. Sorry, cannot answer each one individually.

About 30 minutes ago, I was finally able to make a post without the google warning.
I use the Chrome Browser and Norton Safe search to go to links on my Acer Chromebook.
This afternoon, I tried my Toshiba Win10 laptop and got the same warnings with and without my Chrome browser.
However, I used the Google search on Comcast with the Win 10 browser. Now, I know why.

So if I ignore it it will eventually go away? I get the message every time I post even though the post is there. I figured it out because I kept seeing people repeat their posts. They are not realizing that the post posts, but rather than return to the thread they get the malware message.

“I have Adblock Plus installed and still had an issue accessing FR with it.”
I had the same problem in spite of Adblock and Adblock plus until about 30 minutes ago.

I tried adding aim.com to my exception list. It did not help.

What action can you recommend for Safari users, Swordmaker? Frankly, I'm not worried about anything. . . there's not much that could get through OS X's built-in protections without warning the user, not with the pop-up you're seeing on FR windows, but a system warning about downloading something.
I also have a great deal of confidence that JR and his staff will find the problem links that are creating this issue and remove them, request a resurveyed from Google, which will remove the warning and all will be well in Freepworld again. It's just going to take some time to locate them.

I don’t want to unprotect myself. I am just going to wait and hope it gets resolved by those who know how to resolve it.

You’re posting here.
I’ve not had any problems or any warnings.
Please know (or remember) I’m a computer dunce.

We are all preoccupied with the problem. Otherwise we would have caught your hilarious post. So true.
