President Obama ridiculed congressional Republicans and the GOP presidential candidates Friday as gloomy doomsayers.
They are like Grumpy Cat, Mr. Obama said, referring to a popular meme and making a frowning face. Everything is terrible according to them. Were doomed!
Speaking at a Democratic Womens Leadership Forum in Washington, the president said GOP presidential candidates are in the Twilight Zone by pretending the years under President George W. Bush were pleasant.
You listen to them and theyve constructed this entire separate reality, he said. If you listen to them, its like those were the good old days. Then I came in and everything went to heck.
He said Republicans have to make up stuff is because they dont have a record to run on.

Obama and Hillary are a lot smarter than Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy. We ARE doomed, so long as losers like this are in charge of the GOP.

If you listen to Clinton and Sanders it sounds like we are in the dark days of 1932 with 25% unemployment and soup lines.

He must include his own Vice President in his scorn, since Biden himself gave an ‘everything is terrible’ speech in the Rose Garden.
