As Jeb Bush heads to Texas on Sunday to rally top fundraisers along with his father and brother, former presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, the familys vaunted financial network is mostly disengaged and splinteredand his campaign stock is falling.
The one-time front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination is roughly tied for third place among GOP contenders in campaign cash and has fallen to fourth or fifth place in national polls, including the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey. His crowds are modest. He failed to dominate in either of the GOP debates, and million-dollar ad buys in Iowa and New Hampshire have barely moved the needle on his support in the early-contest states.
Jebs just blended into the second tier of the Republican pack, said Doug Corn, an Ohio-based financial adviser and top fundraiser for George W. Bush who hasnt donated to a candidate this year. When you run for president, you have to be very charismatic, you have to articulate extremely well and you have to show unbelievable amounts of passion.
The inability of Mr. Bush to seize and hold the front-runner position among the politically experienced Republicans running for the White House is a big factor in the fluidity of the partys primary race. In the 2012 contest, nominee Mitt Romney was leapfrogged in polls by various rivals yet consistently hovered in second place, positioned to break to the top when the competition settled into a rhythm.
Mr. Bushs lagging candidacy gives an incentive to candidates such as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham to hope for a break and stay in the race, despite their own poor standing in polls and anemic fundraising.

Let’s all just stay out of the Bushes ..
The core of his family's donor base resides in Saudi Arabia.
BUSHES FAULT
Just go away Jeb
“Mr. Bushs lagging candidacy gives an incentive to candidates such as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham “
Yet, nary a mention of Ted Cruz, who now polls even or above Bush and at heels of Rubio.
>> When you run for president, you have to be very charismatic, you have to articulate extremely well and you have to show unbelievable amounts of passion.
But GOD forbid that you have the right *ideology” and *message*, eh Doug? That doesn’t matter to you gop-e folks, does it?
This is what the pundit-and-consultant class doesn’t “get” this year. Message and ideology are YUGE this go-round. And they’re a bigger factor than all that charisma and passion stuff.
Of course, along with last decade’s tin ear message, Jeb also has no charisma, no passion, and poor articulation. In other words, Jeb has everything necessary and sufficient to LOSE, big time.
Galvanize = Dip them in molten zinc.
Works for me.
Go away, Jeb, and take your boy Gee-Oh Pee with you.
I’ve got an idea. Why doesn’t his OWN family kick in to fund his campaign. I’m sure they can afford a few million.
I hate to agree with Whoopi Goldberg (who I believe initiated the above), but in this case, she (and you) are right. Enough Bush presidents...the track records of the two we have had is, at best, mediocre.
Mr Trump...paging Mr Donald J. Trump.....
>> Why doesnt his OWN family kick in to fund his campaign.
Because they know a lousy investment when they see one? That’s how they got rich, you know — making WISE financial choices. :-)
Ha,...he done that real good...
Galvanized...electroplated and shellaked.
Minus individual mandate, everything on Jebito’s column applies equally to Ted Cruz.
It was Jesse Jackson.
Jeb will continue to raise funds which will later be used for his sons run for President........it will happen.
