WASHINGTON – Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement Thursday in anticipation of Friday’s House vote on H.R. 3762:
“On Friday the House of Representatives is set to vote on a reconciliation bill that repeals only parts of Obamacare. This simply isn’t good enough. Each of us campaigned on a promise to fully repeal Obamacare and a reconciliation bill is the best way to send such legislation to President Obama’s desk. If this bill cannot be amended so that it fully repeals Obamacare pursuant to Senate rules, we cannot support this bill. With millions of Americans now getting health premium increase notices in the mail, we owe our constituents nothing less.”
Cruz/Lee 2016 would be great.
I saw Mike Lee speak at Hillsdale college last fall and he’s great.
Isn’t reconcilation the same thing Paul Ryan said could be done?
Doesn't matter....Obama would veto it....and the 2/3's in both houses isn't there to overcome it.
Realistically, we have to wait until 2017.
That is what I thought. The way we are going it will never be repealed unless win win. So far, that is not looking good with the infighting.
Now, now, now...please don’t be logical. :)
Give up.
Won’t happen. The uniparty has won.
Really, does anyone believe the repubs any more?
There is really only one solution, and folks are not desparate enough for that.
Yet.
Oops, should be “desperate”, but somehow “disparate” almost fits.
“There is really only one solution, and folks are not desparate enough for that.”
*******
Two possible solutions come to mind.
1. The III% option (most aren’t ready for).
2. Simply shrugging and watch the system collapse under its own weight some time in the future (like the Soviet Union eventually did). This takes a lot of patience and many might not live long enough to see the implosion.
