Donald Trump Crushes The Competition In Yet Another Poll

A new poll released Wednesday found that billionaire businessman Donald Trump held a double-digit lead in the Republican presidential race.

According to the ABC News survey, Trump got a full 32% of the vote in the crowded GOP field.

His closest rival remained retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who grabbed 22% of the Republican vote in the poll. After that, only Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-Florida) posted a double-digit showing at 10%.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) registered a bit below that, at 7%, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) at 6% and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina at 5%.

Other recent polls have also brought good news for Trump. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll published Monday found that Trump got 25% of the Republican vote, a new high-water mark for him in that particular survey.

Trump's continued strength in the polls provides evidence for those who argue that his candidacy has more staying power than his critics believe. In an interview published Tuesday, for example, a top Bush ally asserted that Trump is a "false zombie front-runner" with no chance of ultimately securing the Republican nomination.

Major point # 1 : Trump-Carson-Cruz = 56 percent

Major point # 2 : Carson-Cruz = 28 percent (Tea Party Evangelical Christians)

Major point # 3 : Carson is gone by January 2016 with continued gaffes ("I agree with Al Sharpton")

Major point # 4 : Trump-and-Cruz take the GOPe nomination together ... George Will and Krauthammer are FORCED into retirement ...

re: the numbers. You're seeing what I'm seeing. Any establishment candidate, and the elite would've declared it "over" and the primaries a formality.

I look at those numbers and say don't discount Rubio. We don't like him for being soft and sneaky about the invasion, for sure. But can Trump bring him around on that on one issue?

It would be so deliciously in-your-face to the despicable self involved Bush dynasty to have Rubio on the ticket.

Why on earth would you want Rubio on the ticket in a childish hit on Bush? They are BOTH Establishment goons. Rubio threw the people who elected him—the tea Party— to the sharks and joined the 8 for amnesty. He is STILL for amnesty and I would NEVER consider him for ANY political position again and that includes dogcatcher!

This can’t be true, Karl Rove said that Trump peaked in August.

I don't like Rubio for the backstabbing on amnesty either. But he's strong on foreign policy. What I'm wondering is if Rubio is capable of a turnaround on the invasion of the US, considering everything that's happened in the past few years.

Compare that to Kasich, for instance, who has backstabbed conservatives on every issue.

why would he want to bring Rubio around? He's got Cruz there already.

I think Frank Lantz needs to be taken out.

Interesting thought I had is that of all the candidates I only remember Trump’s slogan: Make America Great Again.

Anyone know what the other candidate’s slogans are off the top of your heads?

As long as Trump acts like a leader he’s not coming back down in the polls save for a major major gaffe.

America wants a strong unapologetic leader. America wants someone who loves America.

Trump is both, even if he’s not a conservative.

I am for Cruz.

But there are some nitwits here on FR who say that’s proof he’s not really running for president or his campaign is over or he’s peak or flatlined or leveled out or whatever the F they say, they just make the sh* up and run their mouths and promote no other candidate just attack Trump non-stop.

It doesn’t matter what happens with Rubio and Kasich. Neither of them will ever win. Trump will win. Start practicing saying President Trump.

I'm 100% in for President Trump. I'm speculating about who the best VP choice will be, and not sure it's Cruz.

One reason is that the US Senate is such a sewer. I'd think Cruz would be necessary there to help Jeff Sessions clean up that mess.

You are 100% right...I’ll bet Rubio will be the VP pick. He wobbled on amnesty but got over it....the truth about it doesnt stop the Hate Hispanics and Hate Catholics here. He is solid on most issues and head and shoulders above the rest of the herd.

A lot here suggest Cruz as VP....I like Cruz’s policies but he hasnt got anywhere yet. Im not sure why. I dont think he brings much to the table for Trump.

You are right. For a variety of reasons Cruz may be better placed elsewhere (Supreme Court?). He’s be a good VP, but Trump may have someone else in mind. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out, but for right now, getting Trump over the finish line is all important. The long knives are out to get him this very minute.

Can’t be true - National Review said Trump was too broke to continue the campaign and that no one was donating even though Trump isn’t taking donations.
