I read the article. It is a rehash of all the other talking points Trump haters have put forth here in the past few months cleverly disguised under “The Big Question - What’s he gonna have to do to cause you to not support him?”
Then it slogs down that road by showing all the canned and old talking points for various issues (questions over which one would decommit).
The big lie in this article is the author’s gloss-over and discounting of why some, many, most(?) supporters support him. The author totally pooh-poohs the possibility that we have been driven to him by our own Republican Establishment.
We’re not pi$$ed at GOPe; we’re fan bois, roadies, celebrity hounds and idiots who are more likely to bill and coo over some twerp on American Idol. That’s eventually what all the Trump haters get around to doing - marginalization, derision, trickery and deceit. All because the media and poweratti can’t control the narrative any more.
You are so very correct. BTTT
We must have read different articles - he acknowledges it (true enough with a serving of snark - but hardly rhetoric that would dent FR Trump fans' ears) but only because he's seriously interested to know from you what would "drive" you to someone else.
Very Well Said!
“cant control the narrative any more”
You would be exactly correct. If you want that confirmed, go over to rushlimbaugh.com and read his article about Dan Rather and Mary Mapes and their new movie. Rush points out that the media is still outraged that we no longer bow to them; that we no longer have to listen to them; that they are no longer the ONLY VOICE. Stunning report.
I'm getting sick of the Trump haters...yeah, I know a lot of them are paid by Soros, but as the GOPe gets more desparate by the day, it's clear they have nothing to fall back on. Maybe that's why the moderate Trump haters can't look in the mirror.
The media ARE controlling the narrative and you don't get it: It's ALL about Trump. There isn't a bit of time by comparison for anybody else. He hardly has to spend a dime to his the word out and hasn't. Why?
I think it's because the fix is in, and Trump has told you so. But the dupes for Donald were so enamored at his faux anger that you couldn't see the boomerang amnesty in his immigration plan. I've posted that content a good many times and NOT ONCE has one of his athletic supporters ever taken on the facts cited in the post. NOT ONCE has one ever explained to me why an employer of hordes of busboys, construction workers, maids, laborers, and groundskeepers doesn't have an interest in such a closet amnesty.
Explain why this is not a realistic likelihood that Trump has NOT addressed. Trump has never explained how he plans to deport (at least) one-out-of-fifteen US residents, or how he's going to get Americans to do those jobs. Not once. Yet the lemmings behind this former Democrat who consulted Bill Clinton just before he announced fall right in line. Why aren't you the least bit suspicious, sufficient to ask "Where's the beef?"
But it isn't only immigration. Try healthcare. When asked about abortion and women's healthcare, he made OUTRAGEOUS and totally unconstitutional promises (in answer to this question at 55:00), yet not a peep from his supporters on this forum when he criticized Bush's refusal to spend a half billion to fund Planned Parenthood:
Oh, but he's changed... not.

AMEN
Michael Steele bankrupted the RNC. McCain is totally beyond repair & the ESTABLISHMENT Republicans continue to support him. Hatch is out of touch with all of America.
No one in the entire Republican party seems to be supporting Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has one of the toughest counties in the USA to uphold law & order. IF they cannot unite behind such a solid person, why should I support them?
Trump is realizing there is a severe undercurrent of discontent in this country. We may not be very wealthy, but we have worked at our lives & taken care of ourselves for over 50 years. Now, we are being shoved to the curb & thrown under the ‘medical care not available bus’.
‘Citizens’ (ILLEGALS) are being given free medical care at our expense thru tax dollars & we cannot even find a general physician to get a checkup or solve something that is bothering us. With a bout of Shingles, it was my chiropractor who finally figured out what was causing me such discomfort. I had no blisters-—but I had Shingles.
This country needs a real business person to run the Federal government & to SHUT DOWN the redundancy & over payment which is rampant in the Federal government. We have so many agencies & programs which are overlapping or complete duplication that Trump can shut down it is a crime. NO BUSINESS can operate with this same kind of structure. However, the bloated pig that the Federal government has become needs to be seriously trimmed.
Turning Forest Rangers into SWAT teams with heavily armed teams is just plain wrong. IF they are so effective & needed, someone needs to tell me how come so many illegals are still occupying our National Forests with their live-in camps & marijuana groves. There is where armed rangers need to be.
NOT AT CLIVEN BUNDY’S RANCH KILLING HIS CATTLE.
Trump out his own money on the line. Jeb Bush rounded up pledges of over $100 million before he announced. How much money of his own is Jeb spending???
Not being part of any herd, I much prefer not to be ""driven"" to supporting a candidate. Especially a candidate that just four years ago supported Hillary For President. I'm no Trump hater, but I am also not a Trump supporter. I want Ted Cruz to be the next president. And to my knowledge, Cruz has never donated to or supported ANY Democrat (like Harry Reid, Chucky Schumer, Hillary and Patty Murray).
Additionally, Trump is either dishonest, or politically myopic re: blaming Bush for the 2008 economic meltdown. He fails (or refuses) to even acknowledge the Democrats' role in that meltdown, as they controlled both houses of Congress and had for two years, and as they also consistently tried to "talk down" Bush's economy until they finally succeeded in tanking it.
I don't trust him. Aside from his intellectual dishonesty, he has a hot temper and a nasty, petty disposition when crossed...much like the current CIC. Not qualities one wants in a President/CIC.
