I have a serious question for the Trump supporters, and I hope they will be able to answer it, at least to themselves. It is a question that every supporter of every candidate should be able to answer if they consider themselves a thinking voter instead of a mindless, drooling sports fan. The question is this:
What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?

That’s because Walker was really more a conservative that the ones you mention. They’re still being supported to diminish Trump not because anyone really supports them.
Walker was out there to fail virtually on his own, regrettably.
The nose has been cut off to spite the face. The people who object to Trump quite often turn out to rest in unrefutable “I am” and “Trump is” statements — unrefutable by definition rather than by fact — rather than far more discussable “I want this and Trump is headed thus and such a place” statements.
One word, dearie, - Unpredictability.
If you ever negotiated a billion dollar deal you'd know what the heck he is talking about. But you haven't, so you don't.
Walker was also checkered.
What would it take?
Simple. If CW was to start shilling for Trump like she did for Perry in 2012 and this time for Walker. But for that to happen, Bill Murray’s depiction of the end times in Ghost Busters would have to be on our doorsteps.
In other words, when the 100 foot StaPuf Marshmallow Man was marching into town to destroy humanity.

He’d have to say that America really isn’t that special and that we need to lower our standard of living to match that of the rest of the world in order to reduce carbon emissions so we can stop climate change.

And that’s the author’s problem right there. That’s simply untrue. The GOP plays games with rules and procedures, ensuring that they have show votes to take home, while advancing the progressive agenda in reality.
I’m utterly finished with the GOP. I started 3rd party voting last cycle and they haven’t given me one reason to regret it thus far. In fact, they’ve only validated my decision.
Look, Trump’s not my first choice but if he ends up on the ballot, he’ll have my vote. A vote for Trump will be my “thank you” note to the GOP for absolutely nothing but lies, betrayals and backstabbing.
Um I suppose if he said stuff like this, Mr. Wolf:

I don't support that lot, anyway.
I think we all can agree on fundamental deal-breakers. They include:
Any anti-gun agenda.
Any failure to secure the border and deal with illegal immigrants and illegal immigration.
Failure to at least state credible intent to remove the penalty clauses and Obamacare in general.
Failure to rein in or abolish the EPA and other regulatory agencies which unnecessarily impede economic development and trade.
Failure to address the odious tax system.
Failure to secure property Rights.
Failure to support our traditional allies.
Failure to support rules of engagement for our troops which do not unnecessarily place them in harms' way and which permit them to successfully engage the enemy.
Failure to stand up for the religious Rights of Christians in the US.
Failure to credibly state intent to overturn the Iran deal and make future negotiations on the behalf of the United States which benefit the United States.
Failure to call out the press for nonsensical attacks on America and Americans.
Failure to address the corruption and sedition in the DOJ, DHS, CIA, State Department, and other Federal Agencies.
Failure to roll back the use of the NSA against American citizens without a warrant.
There are many items not listed here. Deal-breakers are the sort of thing often best described by "you will know them when you see them", but anything which flies in the face of fundamental Rights can readily qualify.
And the question should be asked of anyone who supports a particular candidate.
Just remember that those who support specific candidates often do so because the candidate takes similar positions on issues. So the 'deal breakers' can vary from person to person.
The more moderate the candidate, the more likely the deal breakers for that candidate's supporters will incorporate items Conservatives see as desirable.
I am sorry I ever signed up for your thread to promote your Governor for Pres. You have real issues. Get help.

You really need to check the join dates on us “trolls” before you start wishing for the FR of old. Times change. People need different things in a leader. Cruz is the right choice in a nation that is sane. America has gone insane since 2001 and we need a president with different qualities than Cruz can muster. He could rise up and replace Trump in an instant if he was a motivator. He’s not. He’s just a quiet, polite debater. Yawn.
More like, the question is tendentious.
You probably haven’t been keeping close enough attention—a paid hack.
Yes, Donald is treating this like a deal negotiation too.
It has the fortuitous side effect of a larger “We The People” participation than the traditional campaigning of career politicians who try to sell the people into changing to suit them rather than negotiating some kind of accommodation, an accommodation which looks like it will go significantly conservative just because that is where “We The People” are with respect to America’s current governing class.
I see the people worrying that Donald will not live up to his deal. To that we should ask, what has Donald done before in deals? If Donald was dishonest enough, he wouldn’t be trusted to be able to make the kind of deals by which he turned millions into billions.
Rather than wallowing in their own self-importance and presumptuousness, and their severe case of TDS, maybe the folks at RS should try promoting the candidate of their choice.
This constant Trump bashing and insulting of his supporters will accomplish nothing.
