Putin is not so incredibly stupid as to rely on anything the old bigot Carter might give or sell him
First,
Carter has zero credibility
Second,
Carter has (or is supposed to have) zero access to current USA state secrets and military intelligence
Third,
Putin has spy satellites and assets on the ground, he doesn’t need anyone’s ‘secret info’ to guide him to (at least) major enemy military facilities or troop concentrations or strongholds
Assad may not be a nice guy but he provided some stability in Syria, until Obama came along (with MY bullets).

Obama doesn't need Carter to embarrass him, he's a walking, talking, embarrassment to the US all by himself.
I can just imagine in my mind's eye Putin and his generals laughing and slapping each other on the back after a meeting with Obama. I'm sure they wonder how on earth a clown like Obama became the "leader" of a country that is arguably the most powerful nation on earth.
