What a long way that we have come in this country. The Republican front runner in 2015 is parroting Michael Moores 2004 propaganda film Fahrenheit 9/11 almost verbatim and theres actually a discussion as to whether this constituted good politics. Somehow almost everyone who is commenting on this story is completely missing the boat as to what Trumps parroting of Michael Moores talking points actually means in the context of the current Republican debates.
In the first place, I dont think Trump has any identifiable core beliefs about what happened on 9/11 and who is to blame. I dont really think that Trump has frankly though through the implications of what hes saying with respect to what Bush should have known about 9/11 and what institutional changes he could have been expected to put into place in the 8 months he was in office prior to the worst terrorist attack in United States history. All Trump knows is that he perceives this attack as being damaging to Jeb Bush, and so he is prepared to use it.
Second, I think it is incorrect to say that these comments by Trump make him a truther. Trump is not saying, at least as far as I can tell, that Bush directly caused 9/11, or that he had foreknowledge of 9/11 and chose to do nothing about it. Trump isnt quoting from Loose Change, hes quoting from Michael Moore. His argument is not that Bush was complicit, his argument is that Bush was incompetent......
The point is that Donald Trump is willingly attacking Jeb Bush from the left and not just the center left, but the fringe, extremist left who were already routed conclusively in the 2004 elections...

The world is mad.
Sorry about that.
Trump’s poll numbers just hit a record high this morning.
...jeepers.
Oh dear, then I suppose I should jump on board, even he did something stupid.
That “two-bit” player is the chosen candidate of the Republican Establishment, with its large wealthy donor base.
The ONLY reason Jeb looks like a two-bit player NOW is because of Donald Trump.
But the Trump critics are too blind to see the obvious.
Trump kicked Walker out of the race (once seen as the one threat to Jeb) and now Trump is kicking Jeb out of the race (once seen as the Republican-equivalent of the Democrat coronation going on across the aisle).
I pity your blindness. There’s a great show going on and you’re missing it.
Get.Lost
Whatever it takes to eradicate the Bushes. If we have to hang 9/11 around the necks of Jeb and W then so be it. This is about the survival of this nation and the Bushes have been paramount in its destruction for the last 35 years. They need to be driven deep into the ground and made so that no right thinking American will ever vote for a Bush again. Republicans never get this simple concept except when RINOs destroy conservatives. Stooges like Leon Wolf don’t like the tables turned on them.
Oh dear, maybe you should consider it wasn’t that stupid.
You get it.
Your linkie text is not what he said, and you know it. Trump did say in your link that if his immigration policies were in effect, he was not sure if it would have happened. He did not say 911 wouldnt have happened like you implied. Seems as though everyone keeps missing why he made the comment in the first place. He said specifically he did not blame GW but instead was making a point of fact about Jeb running around saying that nothing bad happened under his brother by saying that He kept us safe, period.
So CW, who is it that you are shilling for now, or are your sensitivities still hurting because Walker quit? Seems like your field of establishment pukes poll numbers looks more like a binary count, you know, all ones and zeros.
So who do you support please?
cincintus widow is now for hildabutchbitch because they are both wymen.
Both know nothing other than whining and moaning, and both are always against something or someone.
widow, keep up your Trump bashing, it always turns more people toward Trump because of your constant, incessant wind pissen.
Keep it up, you have become a a known nag and are a spoof of your former, intelligent self.
I feel pity for the bitterness that haunts you.
Keep it up.
Uh oh.

In all fairness, the Gorelick Memo stovepiped intelligence that could have prevented the attack had it been shared by the agencies involved. That weakness in the system, a critical flaw, came from the Clinton Administration.
Bush's only mistake was in not realizing that all his intelligence assets were blindered by that directive and in that he failed to remedy the situation before the attack.
Trump might be contemplating a general election campaign in which he is fully divested of any Bush taint. Donald Trump will not pay the electoral price for George Bush’s ineptitude. This is a perfectly reasonable election strategy to pursue and it is not gratuitous and it certainly is not “childish.”
I have been saying from the very beginning of this issue of “9/11 on Bush’s watch” that this is general election strategy on Trump’s part.
I also see it as good primary politics, getting Jeb to defend George.
That headline. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t your idea ... ;o)
Do you realize what a disservice your words are to Freepers.....especially long time through thick and thin Freepers .....who have carefully weighed and evaluated the pros and cons of Donald Trump....
...and have found him worthy.
Why do you think your opinion should negate theirs?
This is what bothers me the most.....
You don’t like Donald Trump, I get it
....but somehow you think your opinion gives you the right to ridicule and denigrate those who do support him.

The Third Man - Anton Karas
I think Trump is the true Democrat candidate, putting on the Republican sheep’s coat in the ultimate Machiavellian attempt by the pro-Obama ilk to take the next election electorally.
How is he really republican when they are so inept and his beliefs are so Democrat?
Smart. He will win. I/we(USA) will lose again, short term.

No ducking here.
I have been a long time friend and adversary with Wifey.
Been with and against her positions, but she has gone off the rails.
I'm still a Cruzer, and prove it via my donations {which continue}, but I face the world as it is.
Losing Walker snapped her judgment and now, like a bitter old widow, knows only negativity.
In one of her posts, she axes, "Why should I be for anyone, the world is mad"?
That question answers itself and points to the widow's state of madness.
Sorrow and pity and prayers for her.
Trump’s big positions are to bring back American industry, and to stop importing ever more illegal aliens.
How are Trump’s positions democrat?
Trump is standing up strongly for America. And furthmore, he’s about the only person anywhere, who is.
Trump gets it.
