Donald Trump says he doesn’t flat out blame former president George W. Bush that the Sept. 11 terror attacks happened on his watch. But he can think of three reasons why one could hold Bush responsible.
And, he might add, they are three things a President Trump would do very differently.
“You always have to look to the person at the top,” Trump said Saturday in a telephone interview. “Do I blame George Bush? I only say that he was the president at the time, and you know, you could say the buck stops here.”
So why might one consider Bush responsible?
No. 1: Bush’s immigration policy. “We had very weak immigration laws,” Trump said, adding that perhaps if Bush had had a Trump-style immigration policy, replete with “the strong laws that I’m wanting, these terrorists wouldn’t have been in the country.”

You know Bush was ignorant regarding the border because AFTER 911 he wanted Amnesty for all and never built a wall.

The President who failed to take care of America following the 1993 WTC attack and other significant attacks on American interests worldwide, who also failed to monitor the activities of the enemies who were entrenched and able to carry out the atrocity to which Trump refers, was Bill Clinton, husband of "the one" who Democrats now want to be trusted to "protect and defend" America.

Everyone knows who committed the acts, they are just pointing out that we had resources to help stymie the bad guys and nobody took positive action to do it. Knowledge is only useful if one leverages it and we had knowledge but refused to go "un-PC" in order to help ourselves. The problem dates back decades, but everyone who assumed the power in the interim had opportunity to act and did nothing.
Trump is spot-on in his criticism and only made it because Jeb needs to be put away. Jeb's petty reaction does him no good and that is good for those of us who really don't want him in the WH.
We can all do our part by donating to solutions instead of just carping about what we have

Bush was pushing amnesty and lax borders AFTER 9-11. So to me he was stuck on stupid in some ways.
But...
Clinton refused a in Laden several times which exactly did cause 9/11 and led us to the Middle East disruption, the Arab Spring and Isis.
Bush was only in office 8 months, but when did he or Clinton if ever come upon the revelation that agencies did not share information? Because the Islamic pilots of Islam were reported by flight school under maybe both Clinton and Bush and nobody did anything.
It’s funny how the media keep pushing the idea that what Trump said is scandalous. They are desperate to take him down somehow. IMHO the people on the other hand, largely agree with him.
Think about what we’re talking about. The Pentagon is arguably the most heavily defended office building in the world, yet our enemies pulled off a successful attack on it. Somebody was asleep at the wheel.

The libs also questioned us going into Iraq. So did I, to me there was no valid reason to go there. Sure, Sadaam was a bad guy, but he helped stabilize the region and his riddance helped create the total mess we have today.
No. President Trump explains to the American people WHY it went down and then he takes immediate steps to correct the situation.
And NOT by restricting the freedoms of law-abiding Americans but by putting the hammer down on those who created the situation.
