Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee isn't letting Donald Trump and Ben Carson take all the credit for forcing CNBC to change its debate rules. The network agreed Friday to shorten the next Republican debate to two hours after the pair threatened to pull out of the forum if the network didn't agree to their demands.
Huckabee says it was not just the retired neurosurgeon and billionaire businessman that were pushing for the changes.
"It wasn't just the two of them. Every one of the candidates and their representatives were in a conference call. In fact, several of them. I understand some of them got very heated," Huckabee told Fox News Saturday.

Without Trump at the debate, the ratings would have suffered.
Without Trump and Carson, the debate would be meaningless.
Me me me me me me me me!!!!!!
Suckabee is still running?
Is Huckabee still running?
Scripture tells me, he hasn’t a clue, as you’d think a Minister would.
Sour grapes Huckabee.
Trump was most definitely instrumental in the rules changes, because, without him, the viewership would drop to the 6 million range.
Without Huckabee on the debate stage, hardly anyone would even notice the absence.
I don’t care who was in on the call, Trump got the terms put on the table. And I’m a Cruz supporter.
Piss off Private Pyle, you don’t matter anymore .. in fact, you never did
Top Six, Two Hours. We should not be giving the 1%er’s any more face time! It’s shameful that they stay in. GoPee must be paying them!
Well, say what you want about Trump, but he has more guts than the entire GOP establishment put together.
And he gets what he wants.
Ive always been perplexed by how the GOP lets themselves be repeatedly set up and knocked down by the by the media and never even try to fight back. Especially at debates.
And heres Trump calling the shots like a boss.
Trump gets one of the biggest media conglomerates to bend to his will in under 48 hours with no return concessions.
But hes a terrible negotiator.
Im starting to like this guy.
I don’t remember when Huckabee wasn’t running.
I’ve always liked Huckabee. His stance for the unborn is a lot stronger than Trump’s is. And that is the mark of a good man in my book [and I’m guessing the Lord’s too]; someone who cares for the smallest beings on earth.
I always liked Huckabee too, but not giving credit when credit is due (Trump & Carson) is disingenuous.
Without Trump at the debate, they wouldn’t have tried to extend it to start with.
precisely....the huckleberry is clueless
The GOPe is Uniparty, and paid for by our True Masters.
They're like small dogs begging for treats. "BAD DOG!" gets them back in line...
