Last year when I attempted to pick my daughter up from school, the volunteers in the carpool line tried to put a fourth grader in my car, not the four year old I was attempting to retrieve. Both of us were vehemently shaking our heads, both of us looked totally confused, but the man with the radio would not be deterred. There are only a handful of white kids at my daughter's school, and only two of them are car-riders. One of them gets picked up by her mom, the other, her dad. This white girl went with the white mom, and I was a white mom. This must be the right van.
This slightly awkward, but hilarious interaction strikes at the heart of the change in our neighborhood. While we were once one of the only white people in the neighborhood, most of the abandoned houses are now snapped up and fixed up by young white couples, often with kids. Those kids don't go to our school.

What a ridiculous situation. I’m sorry I wouldn’t send my children to a black school and that’s not racist.
Oh, please!
The racism is coming from the black “students” who can’t resist bullying and abusing the white kid.
I have talked to a few black teachers who wouldn’t choose Black Schools to teach in. They will tell you quick that a student that wears saggy pants is not teachable.
“Why White Parents Won’t Choose Black Schools”
Because if they wanted dead kids they’d have aborted to begin with.
Considering that the violence perpetrated by blacks on whites is much higher % than the other way around.....it’s simple common sense.
Honest mistake.
“All them white folks look alike to me.”
I live in an area with lots of nice Victorian homes and decent neighborhoods in central city but no way in hell I would live there because the public schools are minority-majority and suck. The white people who live in those areas send their kids to costly private schools. I don’t have that type of money so off to the ‘burbs away from the unruly kids from single parent homes.
because they love their children and want them to come home every day?.................
What a dumbass story to publish. Leave it to the puffington post.
Hammer meet NAIL!
Why won’t white parents end their kids to a blacks school? Start with
beatings
robbery
no education
drugs
gangs
pregnancy
and it gets worse from there.
“They want to go to the Christmas pageant and not have their white sensibilities violated because the other parents are too loud and boisterous and it makes them uncomfortable, for really no good reason. “
No good reason? It’s called good manners.
And this loud boisterous behavior also extends to personal interactions and standard day-to-day life in the ‘hood.
Want to raise a feral child, send to that school and live in that neighborhood.
Cultural differences are too great these days.
What a ridiculous situation. Im sorry I wouldnt send my children to a black school and thats not racist.
There is a little racism in your decision but it is natural. You see the media and how they portray the blacks in this country and it has been ingrained in you. You wouldn’t send your kids to a black school even if you were offered a million dollars because you see how poor the education the black kids get, the disgraceful conditions the schools are in and the test scores of the black kids. That is what should be the focus. Why are they so unfairly treated? Would white kid’s parents allow their child to attend schools that are falling apart? No not for a minute, but black kids have to put up with it and endure nastiness all over. Sad situation for sure that hopefully someday will be changed and they get a fair chance in life. That time is coming soon I hope.
White folk. They all look the same.
I think that’s all entirely understandable.
Other deep questions:
Why parents don’t make their kids brush their teeth with Comet cleanser.
Why parents don’t volunteer their pre-teens to do after-school work in pedophile half-way houses.
Lol
I note she didn’t name her neighborhood or the name of the school. Some fact-checking would have spoiled her emotional white-guilt trip.
Even the lefty Huffpo comments were pretty much all against her.
