Trump: 9/11 happened on Bush's watch

WASHINGTON (CNN) —Donald Trump implied Friday that former President George W. Bush could share some blame for the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, since he was in office at the time.

"When you talk about George Bush, I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time," Trump said Friday morning on Bloomberg TV.

Bloomberg anchor Stephanie Ruhle interjected, "Hold on, you can't blame George Bush for that," before Trump stood by his comments.

"He was president, OK? ... Blame him, or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign," Trump said.

The comments came in response to a question from Ruhle about Trump's "soft hand." She said the world had seen his strong side, but Bush after 9/11 and President Barack Obama after the Sandy Hook massacre both had to stand in front of America and show a different side of them.

After 911, under Bush’s watch, more Muslims were allowed into the U.S. than the previous 2 decades.

Not enough? During Bush’s watch American citizenship was make all but pointless while conga-lines of millions danced in illegally.

And now some of these folks want to explain how Bush is just some innocent by-stander?

Just more political BS.

Bush after 9/11 and President Barack Obama after the Sandy Hook massacre both had to stand in front of America and show a different side of them.

Those two events are not equivocal. Hussein has no "different" side. He is cold, calculating and without empathy.

Period.

Full stop.

End of story.

>>>”He was president, OK? ... Blame him, or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign,”<<<

So, what did Trump say here that isn’t true?

The later comment towards Trump made by the Interviewer equating 9/11 and Sandy Hook told me everything I need to know. Another Tempest in a Teapot created by the Media. Yawn...

Nice psyop by the High Treason Rats in the Establishment....

Yes Trump is correct 911 happened when W was in office. That’s not even in secret.

Who to blame for it is another question?

Furthermore, the response since 911 is very debatable.

For instance, our Airport security vs. the border security?

The invasion of Iraq vs. giving Saudi Arabia a pass even thought 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia including OBL.

What about the 28 pages of the 911 report that has been hidden from the public?

Where the congress members that have seen it that said members within the Saudi Arabian government Quarterbacked September 11th, 2001?

Oh no one wants to talk about that.

Lets not forget that Clinton cut HUMINT budgets during his regime and that left us blind in the middle east. You have to pay people on the ground to supply you with information. Clinton did as Obama is doing now what they need to make things worse for whoever gets power next.

I hesitate to demean Bush’s actions because of all the men who lost limbs and/or their lives for the effort.

“I don’t see anything wrong with what he says, he’s not necessarily blaming him, but it is true that yes, it did happen on his watch, and he was 9 months into his Presidency. You can’t say he is entirely blameless, although I believe that yes, Clinton deserves most of the blame. “

Please tell us, using your immaculate reason, exactly what the 9-11 terrorists thought about President Bush or his actions that caused them to kill 3000 people. Islam had nothing to do with it of course. You and Trump suffer from gaps in your synapses.

I don’t blame Bush for 9/11. He was only in office less than a year. And I don’t remember any warning threads here or elsewhere about an attack like what happened.

But I don’t agree with this nation building crap either. Too many good men dead or wounded for what. They still hate us. Let them kill each other off until another Saddam takes over.

I am pretty sure the GOP nominee gets security briefings, and I am positive the President elect gets security briefings. So Bush was getting briefed long before taking office. I’m not blaming him, he didn’t fly those jetliners into the towers. However his post 911 moves, other than Afgan, were pretty bad.

No one is talking about the dead and wounded in Bush’s multi-trillion dollar decade long compassionate war.

By the way, you can bet the rent our dead and maimed don’t consider that war as, “compassionate” as Mr. Bush described it.
