EPA Spends $75 Million to Equip 200 Special Agents With Drones, Night Vision Goggles, Guns
Gateway Pundit ^ | 10/14/15 | Jim Hoft

The Obama administration is spending $75 million a year arming EPA special agents with drones, night vision goggles, guns and assault ships.

The EPA special force was formed to take out US polluters. The Spectator reported:

"According to a report released last week by a watchdog group called Open the Books, the EPA has spent millions of dollars recently on guns, ammo, body armor, camouflage equipment, and even night-vision goggles to arm its agents in the war on polluters.

The Illinois-based investigative group examined thousands of checks totaling more than $93 billion from 2000 to 2014 by the EPA, and its auditors indicate that about $75 million is authorized each year for “criminal enforcement” of America’s clean air and water laws. This includes cash for a cadre of 200 “special agents” that engage in SWAT-style ops.

“We were shocked ourselves to find these kinds of pervasive expenditures at an agency that is supposed to be involved in clean air and clean water,” said Open the Books’ founder, Adam Andrzejewski, a former candidate for governor of Illinois. “Some of these weapons are for full-scale military operations.”

Some of these military operations have been reported in the media. Two years ago, the EPA was involved in an armed raid at a small town in Alaska where miners were accused of polluting local waters, as Fox News reported that EPA “armed agents in full body armor participated.”

The EPA’s own website describes the activities and mission of the criminal enforcement division as “investigating cases, collecting evidence, conducting forensic analyses and providing legal guidance to assist in the prosecution of criminal conduct that threatens people’s health and the environment.”

Thank you for referencing that article Enlightened1. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for intrastate environmental protection purposes. So the constitutionally undefined EPA actually shouldn’t be spending of penny of taxpayer dollars.

In fact, note that the Constitution clearly indicates that the Founding States had given the “power of the purse” uniquely to the House (1.7.1) so that the House could kill unconstitutional spending like the lawless Obama Administrations’ funding of the EPA.

The problem is that Obama’s first Congress, controlled by corrupt Democrats, had passed the unconstitutional Stimulus Program and Obamacare bills. This legislation essentially gave Obama billions in unaccountable funding, thus defeating the purpose of “purse” clause by making Obama financially independent of Congress.

And although the Founding States had established the Senate to protect the states from unconstitutional legislation like the appropriations bills that established the Stimulus Program and Obamacare, the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate actually screwed the states that they were supposed to protect by passing this legislation instead of killing it as senators should have done.

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who wrongly give lawless presidents financial independence from Congress as well.

The EPA is clearly out of control. The agency needs to be redirected to collect and report data both to justify and validate their rules and regulations, and to collect evidence and report violations.

Our country is NOT comprised of criminals who are deliberately corrupting our air and water. Such a claim is sheer nonsense and unAmerican.

Obozo’s mini-Gestapo grows!

“When an opponent declares, ‘I will not come over to your side,’ I calmly say, ‘Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community’.”
Adolph Hitler Speech November 1933
And a reminder that should resonate with anyone who knows and UNDERSTANDS history: The most dangerous words in ANY language are “Why, THAT could NEVER happen HERE!”
If we allow IT to happen here, because of the truth of Hitler’s comment, many will never know what was stolen from them. But there will be some who (I would hope my descendants would be among them) , in their anger that we failed to halt the process when it was less arduous to do so, will be tempted to dig us up in order to spit in our faces. I highly recommend cremation.
In case you’ve failed to notice, we are circling the drain as you read this.

ALL MEN LOSE WHEN FREEDOM FAILS,
WHEN GOOD MEN ROT IN FILTHY JAILS.
AND THOSE WHO CRIED “APPEASE, APPEASE”,
ARE HANGED BY THOSE THEY SOUGHT TO PLEASE!

This is why we have the 2nd Amendment.

Not for hunting, and not to protect ourselves against violent criminals who want to rob and pillage, but as a "fundamental check on government tyranny."

When you cast your vote for President in 2016, pay attention to what you're voting for. If you're willing to vote for a guy who thinks the 2nd Amendment is "about self defense, plain and simple," to allow for self-protection against violent criminals because cops can't get there in time ... do so at your own risk; the assumption is that once violent criminals can't get guns -- a goal that modern technology in the hands of "civil servatns" can certainly achieve given enough brute force -- the 2A is obsolete.

I will only vote for the candidate who understands that the 2nd Amendment is to protect a free nation against the kind of government tyranny evidently envisioned by the "civil servants" within the EPA. The candidates who understand the true purpose and intent of the 2nd Amendment, understand that it will only become obsolete when government becomes obsolete.

The candidates who think it's only about "self defense, plain and simple," are dangerous liabilities.

Maybe the Waco bikers were smoking too close to the restaurant entrance. That would justify, using “War on Pollution” justification, shooting them.

LOL!!! No doubt!!!

By far the greatest reason for illegal dumping is due to economics. Figure a way to make it economically feasible to dispose of these type wastes and you’ll eliminate almost all illegal dumping of them.

They probably see selling permits (and the extensive study that goes along with them) as more lucrative than opening wide-spectrum hazmat recycling/disposal facilities.

Because it has now become all about how the EPA can gain, not about what the EPA can do to help America.

The mine incidents resulted from government bureaucrats and the contractors they hired not knowing what they were doing. They built dams to block small mine seepage which caused pressures to build. Once the backed up volume of containment found another outlet in another part of the mine, it all ran out at once flushing out even more contaminants.

A private engineer attempted to warn them of their error. Government bureaucrats don't like to be told they're wrong, so they ignored him.

Collective security IS a self defense function, and this line of thought is utter BS because it would need a perfect police that is not even close to being in existence to meet its premises.

Exactly!

You see the same in all agencies of government. A primary reason is just plain ol' laziness on part of the bureaucrats. Others are love the hunt, power over others over others.

The EPA has been an extra-constitutional power in this country since its inception. The law was written that way, and the media does everything it can to promote that power.

In Arizona, about a decade ago, there was a referendum to require that the government pay a property owner if their actions took at least 15% of the properties value. I thought it was a shoo-in.

The media pulled out all stops, and said the environment would be destroyed if the EPA and state equivalent were required to pay for property that they took.

The referendum failed by about 55%-45%. It was an amazing display of the power of the media to shape the agenda and fool the public.

Utter BS is to think for one instant that government would EVER consider its own civil servants as among the "criminals" that people have a right to defend themselves against. The brute force of government most certainly can achieve what government would regard as "perfect police."

One stance -- that the 2A is for personal self-defense ("collective security" is your creative euphemism; your favorite candidate states clearly that "it is about self defense plain and simple") -- that stance allows for exactly ZERO right of self-defense among people against the brute force of civil servants and government -- that stance says that it is reserved for protection against criminals.

The other stance is that the 2A is explicitly FOR defense against the brute force of government. "Criminals" have exactly ZERO to do with the 2A.

Wake the HELL UP.

Redirected?? Never happen.

The EPA can never be redirected.

What our Founders would demand to happen is the complete elimination of the EPA. All EPA employees should be fired. All regulations invalidated.

Of course, that will never happen either, LOL.

The Environmental Pollution Agency CAUSED the “spill” so it would be designated a Superfund site and the agency could grab a few hundred billion dollars. There is a thread on it somewhere around here...
