Megyn Kelly: I overestimated Trump's anger management skills

Looking back on her feud with Donald Trump, Fox News host Megyn Kelly said she’s learned that “we may have overestimated his anger management skills.” The primetime cable news anchor ended up on the receiving end of Trump’s ire after the first Republican presidential debate back in August. At the start of that event, Kelly a moderator, quoted some of the GOP frontrunner’s most disparaging comments about women and asked if those remarks would cripple him in the general election. After the debate, Trump launched a series of personal attacks at Kelly, while she, for the most part, declined to engage. Speaking at Fortune‘s Most Powerful Women summit in Washington, D.C., Kelly explained both her question and how she responded to the fallout. “The reason I asked that was not a comment on Megyn Kelly,” she said. “It was a comment on his electability, and what he’s likely to hear from Hillary Clinton should he be the nominee, and you’re already hearing that from Hillary Clinton. That’s what I get paid to do: anticipate the candidate’s weaknesses and poke ‘em. That’s our job, and it does require a certain amount of fearlessness … But it’s not like I was looking to make an example out of Donald Trump.” Kelly said the first round of questions that the Fox News moderators posed to the candidates during the debate all followed the same electability theme behind the question to Trump. “No one was given a pass,” she said. And as Trump turned to Twitter and interviews with other outlets to attack Kelly, she decided it was “better to take the high road.” “It did not behoove any of us to get engaged in a war with a presidential candidate,” Kelly said.

Kelly is a liberal, the first person she met with after the debate was Debbie “whatshername” Shultz.

What goes unmentioned is her Jesus comment to Kasich I think it was.

Her ratings must be slipping ;)

Since The Donald won’t go on her show, she has to keep talking about him.

Pathetic!

Kabuki theater... This so-called feud served the interests of everyone involved, boosting Kelly to greater prominence and higher ratings, and propelling Trump into a double-digit lead. Roger Ailes laughed all the way to the bank.

The one thing they’d all agree on is - if they had to do it over, no one would want to change a thing.

Her 15 minutes are long over. She overestimates her own importance.

He must have really hit a nerve if she’s still talking about it. He’s moved on. She’s unwilling to let it go.

She’s starting trouble again.

The turd she is polishing is a complex version of the little woman is intimidated by the aggressive male gambit. I'd venture to say that she has employed extra PR help in refining this bullcrap.

I didn’t get to watch, hubby is disinterested, he will vote for the GOP that wins the nomination, and he says it sends my BP up to high and since I am not well, that is not good. Waiting for the Cardio to call back with my test results as the per-eval is showing an enlarged heart and BP issues due to uncontrollable pain.

I would have liked to have seen Trump take miss smarty pants down. She gets under my skin with her leftist views.

There is no way on earth I could care any less what Megan Kelly thinks or doesn’t think.

I watched Special Report today figuring they might have a little insight on the Democrat debate. Nope, not today.

But I was struck by Shannon Bream and how ladylike and professional she looked. What a change from the usual slutty look we usually get from FOX regulars. Most of whom look like they are dressed for the cocktail hour with too tight dresses and their boobs pushed up and squeezed past their unbuttoned top button.

Thank you!

FOX has hated us from the beginning, but loved the ratings we gave them.

That conservatives still watch them at all.... makes me wonder about conservatives.

Conservatives still watching Kelly and Baier, honestly, is creepy masochistic, brain shrinking, mind shaping, and actually detrimental to the cause, the country and anti-Alinsky hopes.

Getting worked over by FAUX, tells me a lot. Nothing good.
I mean, who pays big time to a mugger for mugging you?

Absolutely. You followed that to the trail’s end. Chris Wallace said that female question was something puss-puss told the guys that she wanted to ask, and they all got to ask their own questions.

As for Brett-Brett, he was simply buttering the FOX paycheck by doing the work of the RNC/Bush machine network, to corner the hen surrounded by foxes about the running Independent question hanging out there. Sweet of Brett.

Thing is... that Baier question, gave Trump a HUUUUGE footprint, for staking ground that no one else would dare to plow, for his I-don’t-care-so-get-over-it authenticity.

That FOX trio stood as the box canyon for Custer, with no apology, and we have freepers still watching FOX. Blows me away that we extract no price from anyone.
