Why Sanders may not enjoy his first faceoff with Clinton as much as he might expect

**SNIP**

The electability problem. Though he has surged in polling among Democrats in early nominating states, Sanders still faces the same basic question as he did when he first got in the race: Is the country ready to elect a self-described socialist as president?

The Vermont senator has acknowledged that he needs to explain what the terms means — and doesn’t mean — to people just getting to know him. On Tuesday night, that will include millions of television viewers.

“Does anyone here think I’m a strong adherent of the North Korean form of government? That I want all of you to be wearing similar colored pajamas?” Sanders said jokingly to a group of college students recently in New Hampshire when asked about the topic. (The answer to both questions was no.)

What Sanders points to instead are the policies of governments in Scandinavia and elsewhere that include far more generous health care and retirement benefits, along with guaranteed sick time and family leave for workers.

During an appearance Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” for example, host Chuck Todd posed this question: “Are you a capitalist?” “No,” Sanders responded. “I’m a democratic socialist."

And don't forget - the one standing center stage is under criminal investigation.

All these idiots are just playing for VP right now. Even Bernie’s been kissing up to Hitlery! lately. Nobody is going to challenge her tonight, especially not the journalists.

CNN: “Enough about why Donald Trump hates women. Let’s focus on the Democratic candidates: Ms. Clinton, why do you think Donald Trump hates women?”

Socialism is the system wherein others can seize the product of your labor just because they want it. Call it theft or slavery; your choice.

p.s. see tagline.

Doesn't matter how Sanders performs tonight, or rather, how the media ans supposed pundits think he will have performed tonight. Sanders has a significant contingent of followers who really don't care about the debates. All Sanders has to do is promise “free” whatever. His supporters don't care about pesky details such as who pays for the free stuff and how it will be paid for.

And Sanders needn't worry about questions on foreign policy. His core pf supporters don't care about such things, so long as they get their free stuff.

Seizing the product of our labor began in 1913 with the income tax. All we do now is debate how much we will be allowed to keep.

Yes. Funny, that happened during the - wait for it - Progressive Era.

As if Hillary is not. In the past she has described herself as a “progressive”.

Not that I’m a Sanders fan, but the MSM is doing its best to diss him and promote Hillary. On the CBS Evening News tonight (I know, but my wife watches it), they had a picture of Sanders looking angry and a picture of Hillary smiling. No bias there, eh?

The question “are you a capitalist?” should be asked of all candidates. I want Hillary to answer it .. without any “but’s”.

“The country already elected a Socialist POTUS...twice.”

But he claimed he wasn’t one! Some dingbats will only vote for a socialist who denies being one, if he proudly admits it they may stay home.

Every democrat President from Wilson on has been a socialist. But none of them, including Obama, would have been caught dead admitting it.

This is not France, Sanders has no chance. I pray he somehow gets nominated.

Maybe Marty McFly can be his running mate.

No American should vote for anyone in the dem party. They lied, cheated and hid his info to give him to us. We can’t trust any democrat politician. Even when they can see that he is a big mistake they won’t help us to stop him. He is against everything the USA is for. They don’t seem to realize that they and their families will suffer along with the rest of us.
