A former Obama administration official who worked on foreign policy said that the president is causing the U.S. to act as if it is totally impotent in the face of Vladimir Putins military intervention in Syria.
The optics are that were backing off. Its not like we cant exert pressure on these guys, but we act like were totally impotent, the former administration official said, according to Politico.
Indeed, multiple current and former players in the Obama administration have expressed opposition to the presidents reluctance to respond to the Syrian civil war or Moscows military buildup there that has worked to the benefit of President Bashar al-Assad.

Obama has big, brass ovaries!
It’s just Obama fulfilling his promise to Medvedev, when he said (on the accidentally open mike) to tell Putin that he could be more flexible after the election.
Who knew Obama was so flexible, tying himself in knots. It’s amazing how willing he is to make deals with America’s true enemies, while refusing to deal with republicans in congress. It’s the republicans, and more to the point, conservatives, that Obama loathes, and sees as his enemies, not Putin, not isis, not Iran, not North Korea.
