ADL National Director Jonathan Greenblatt said that Carson “has a right to his views on gun control, but the notion that Hitler’s gun-control policy contributed to the Holocaust is historically inaccurate … gun control did not cause the Holocaust; Nazism and anti-Semitism did.”

Carson dismissed the ADL statement in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday.

“That’s total foolishness,” Carson told George Stephanopoulos. “It is well known that in many places where tyranny has taken over, they first disarm the people.”

But when Poland regained its independence in 1919, thanks to the Versailles Treaty, the nation degenerated into military dictatorship, and much of the population was antisemitic.

No more than any other European country, just another lame attempt to paint all Poles as anti-semitic.

By choosing to stand and fight, the Warsaw Jews diverted a significant amount of Nazis resources from battlefields elsewhere, thus hastening the Nazi defeat.

It was basically two training battalions of Waffen SS who were stationed nearby, along with a few hundred other odds and ends. About 2000 men total. The Germans suffered 17 dead and 94 wounded. On the Jewish side, there were about 13,000 dead and 56,000 survivors shipped off to the death camps.

This is a very interesting read and it even more emphasizes how weak and small minded the nature of comedian Seth Rogan’s rude and profane filled response to Ben Carson’s comments on the Jews and Nazi Germany’s gun control laws was.
