Perception is everything. Wars are often won or lost based on how the actors perceive one anothers strengths and weaknesses, not so much how strong or weak they are in reality. So it goes with any agenda item.
When people sense a shift in public opinion on an issue, a fair number will shift right along with what they perceive. Thus, power elites can shape behaviors and attitudes by applying various techniques of crowd psychology, focused on propaganda and silencing dissent.

Effective propaganda also keeps you in the dark about the fact that you are being manipulated.
You Cant Resist What You Dont Understand.
...
there are a host of leftist agenda items that simply dont hold up to the scrutiny of thorough debate. Their passage into law depends largely on propaganda techniques that induce smearing and silencing of dissenters. A few of these items include Obamacare, Common Core, global warming, immigration reform, transgenderism in K-12 and the military, and the Iran deal.

Important post. THANKS.
Americans better wake up to the fact that values, laws, politics, and even our economy are in the clutches of the Obama-Sorros propaganda machine.
We MUST break the lock of political correctness and say out loud that Islam is our enemy and Islam must be defeated before the cancer spreads to our people, laws and Constitution.
Politics is already the captive of the enemy! Time is short.
I'm done being friendly. Some idiot starts talking their libtard crap to me I will let them know exactly how I feel, using very inappropriate language.
Most folks are now on to all of this stuff, and they’re not swallowing it any more.
The bigger problem has to do with the lies that have been deeply embedded in the minds of conservatives.
Things like the idea that the courts rule over us, in spite of all of the the things said by our founders to the contrary.
Things like the self-defeating ‘lesser of two evils” utilitarian trap.
Things like that.
Good.
The left hates Jury Nullification and such.
And things like "Diversity makes us stronger.."
Someone has said: "One man, plus truth, is an army!"
Rediscovering and going through the arduous task of restoring the ideas which were understood by ordinary citizens in the early days of America is a sometimes thankless job.
Most of us long for a rediscovery and restoration of the ideas of liberty among us, but are not able, or willing, to promote and protect them for future generations.
Freedom is at risk, our grandchildren's future is at stake, and, if their liberty is to be secured, we must strive to become as informed as the ordinary citizens Alexis de Tocqueville visited in the American wilderness of the 1830's, whom he described in the following manner:
"It cannot be doubted that in the United States the instruction of the people powerfully contributes to the support of the democratic republic; and such must always be the case, I believe, where the instruction which enlightens the understanding is not separated from the moral education. The American citizen," he said, "...will inform you what his rights are and by what means he exercises them .. In the United States, politics are the end and aim of education ... every citizen receives the elementary notions of human knowledge; he is taught, moreover, the doctrines and the evidences of his religion, the history of his country, and the leading features of its Constitution .... it is extremely rare to find a man imperfectly acquainted with all these things, and a person wholly ignorant of them is a sort of phenomenon .... It is difficult to imagine the incredible rapidity with which thought circulates in the midst of these deserts [wilderness]. I do not think that so much intellectual activity exists in the most enlightened and populous districts of France." - Alexis de Tocqueville, "Democracy in America"
Sunstein gave us a very clear description of the GOPe, didn't he?
That simply doesnt work for me . . . I dont know how it affects the other person, but I feel terrible if I do that.Woman at the gym made a globaloney remark that I couldnt let pass, but I felt terrible being rude. Were here at FR because we need to pool our incredulity (as Adam Smith referred to it), thereby assuring that we have the ability to have good answers.
What I should have said was, Ive got the good news and the bad news. First, the bad news - no matter what political success you have in America attacking CO2 generation here, global CO2 will keep going up because China is stamping out coal-fired power plants like cookies. No matter what China might promise, China will increase its CO2 output much more than American can reduce it.
The good news is that the global temperature hasnt gone up at all in almost 20 years because CO2 isnt remotely as bad as you like to think it is.
Dropping PC is the big one...
If the liberal youre arguing with doesnt become speechless with sputtering, impotent rage, youre not doing it right. People dont get angry when lies are told about them; they get angry when the truth is told about them. If youre not being called outrageous by liberals, youre not being outrageous enough. Start with the maximum assertion about liberals and then push the envelope, because, as we know, their evil is incalculable
Nothing too extreme can be said about liberals because its all true.
That is also true of public school teachers and professors. Many students and parents are naive and too trusting of what their kids are being taught. They often don’t recognize the bias and unproven assumptions that are being taught in public classrooms, so they are not wary of their teachers. Students and parents need to wake up.
You can't rationalize with a libtard any more than you can rationalize with a mad rabid dog. I would have said "Were you born this f'n ignorant, or did you have to work at it to get to this level?" And I would have used the full f word.
