But Boehner's retirement announcement like McCarthy, he sprung it on a surprised world didn't resolve any of the conflicts inside the GOP conference. Many of that core 30-40 member group of the most assertive conservatives saw McCarthy as more of the same. And they realized, again, that if they voted as a bloc against leadership, McCarthy couldn't become speaker.
And why should he asked the conservative rebels, who like everyone else watched as public approval of GOP leaders went down and down.
"When 72 percent of Republican voters disapprove of the congressional leadership it's hard to simply promote the next in line," says one conservative member.
"We are in a representative business and it is unsustainable to have the people who do so much work to send Republicans to Congress harbor such dissatisfaction with the party's leaders."

No way
I so agree with you....
Thanks Boehner and McConnell
Well, Boehner’s announcement that he’s staying certainly proved the truth of the headline, at least.
I encourage everyone to look at that posting history.

Come from?
Are you kidding?
The GOP remain absolutely EXEMPT, remain odious liars,
remain complicit supporters of the coverup of treason
and fraud and Clinton-RICO.
Every single day.
Memorial services for the GPOe will be held October 31, 2015 at the Washington Memorial. May it's despicable soul burn in Hell.
We can only hope the GOPe-led Republican Party has a LOT further to fall.
At this stage, I am convinced the only way this country will get a true conservative political party is via a total, scorched-earth destruction of the GOP.
What’s wrong with it? I like the articles I post..or I don’t post them...is there a certain way people are to post on here or something?
I call them as I see them...problem?
It's a sign of a troll, generally. I encourage everyone to read your posting history to find that. People can make up their own minds, since this forum runs mainly on personal reputation.
Others should read it and make up their own minds. I'm just pointing it out.
Got a problem with that?
/johnny
I certainly am not a troll...I have very solid ideas...when something catches my eye, I post it...thinking maybe someone else might be interested....
As far as 3 pages back...I have been very busy in my life, a lot of the time I was traveling, riding my motorcycle, enjoying life...I settled down recently and began to use this site more...sorry of offend you, but maybe with my business now up and running as good as it is, I won’t have to have you comment on how and why I post, and I do find it awfully offensive....
The GOPe like that fop York are freaking out along with FAUX
What I'm talking about is 'Find in Forum" from a FR home page and not posted articles.
Every time anyone posts to an existing thread, that trail exists.

I just looked back at her posting history, three pages back as you said.
What I see is someone who is rooting for Trump.
(duh)
That’s a real shocker. :D
/johnny
I don’t think you are a troll-
IMO, you have posted a lot of very good articles.
Frankly JR, I think you were hunting a squirrel and accidently caught a badger..:-)
Are we looking at the same poster?
I just looked back 15 whole pages. I got back in those 15 pages, to just the 24th of last month.
I really don’t get your criticism. At all. Now I am sticking up for her, because Trump supporters are just that way.
:D (couldn’t resist)
But maybe you’re going off on the wrong person?
.
The “problem” is that posting histories like yours are characteristic of sleeper shills, usually sent in by the “west wing” to hamper legitimate debate.
